On the subject of Primal Dialga

I've asked about who'd win between Lucina and Grovyle from PMD, and someone said it depends on if Grovyle beating Primal Dialga is considered an outlier by me. I'm not sure, though I am very skeptical it's legitimate to accept such a high-end feat in contrast to other feats and scaling for Grovyle.

What evidence is there that Grovyle defeating Primal Dialga is consistent enough to be considered not an outlier or plot-induced-stupidity? What evidence is there for it to not be considered? Please discuss.

Most of the main cast fought legendaries in PMB, they're considered as special version of the pokemon itself. Grovyle was able to fought Dusknoir and our character, both having fight Primal Dialga (+ the protag fought palkia, darkrai, the lake trio ect...).

Evidence for: Grovyle is comparable to the players, who defeated Primal Dialga in their timeline. In fact, Grovyle shielded the player from an attack that would have killed/knocked out the player, implying that Grovyle was a bit stronger.

Dusknoir took multiple hits from a bloodlusted Primal Dialga, who had no reason to hold back.

An argument could be made for Primal Dialga being stronger than Low 2-C, in which case Grovyle stomping the lake trio and the player fighting Palkia seem more consistent. I disagree that the lake trio are treated as 2-B in PMD, but it's not entirely out there.

Evidence against: Dusknoir gets injured by an attack from a wild Mamoswine, although this can be chalked up to be PIS seeing as he casually no-selled an attack from a charged Manectric earlier in the story
