For those of you that frequent the "Fun & Games" sub-forum, you may have noticed that some popular threads have been deleted, a few of which were named "slander" threads. For those who are unfamiliar, the intent was light-hearted jokes and roasting between friends. They have now been deleted and we are not allowing more to be created, because unfortunately they were being regularly misused by some users as a venue for sincere public insults against individuals that they didn't like, or to discuss ongoing wiki drama, and sometimes even leaking of people's off-site social media, among other things.
Since these threads were so often riding the line between good fun and reportability, the frequent descents into genuine toxicity were creating a moderation burden that was more trouble than it was worth, and users who genuinely disliked each other were frequently butting heads within these threads. Please do not create any more of them. Thank you for your understanding.
