Well, they get the chance to prove themselves as rational, reliable, and levelheaded, and automatically get more attention from the rest of the staff. In addition Kepekley23 and Liger686 helped out a lot with recent revision projects.

Kep in particular goes from getting banned, to becoming a calc group member, to becoming a respectable discussion mod, that, is incredible.

Well, you will keep the the rollback rights. They are specifically for the calc group members with no other position.
 
Very long overdue for Kep. He's been by far one of the most helpful, hardworking and respectful users in recent history. I'm really happy to see you finally get promoted.

Aeyu and Liger are also super smart users who are well deserving of the job. Liger's help with the calcs is greatly appreciated as well.

ALRF's real hard working and knowledgable on edits, so I know he'll do well at his new job.
