I reckon Nero is likely to go for melee himself, he gets tapped once by Velvet and its GG. Though he could probably slap her back if he busts out Yamato.

She also has Mid regen so Yamato probably wouldn't kill instantly, even if he used it right off the bat.

Rebuble said that he doesn't use Yamato's spatial cut. Not like it matters here since Velvet can regenerate from it.

Well, regardless, I'd say my reasoning for Velvet still stands, unless Nero leads with Yamato and manages to immediately decapitate her with the Spatial Cut, Velvet takes this more often than not, as her regen will keep her alive long enough to hit him with the Claw.

I mean, i am by no means a DmC dude, but if Nero goes for space slicey, coudnt he just destroy Velvets claws? Especially with no knowledge, its fairly normal in a weapon fight to block attacks if needed.
Normal martial artists woudnt just block attacks staticly, so i doubt he would just cleanly cut through her, but it would leave her unarmed and judging by her profile, most of her lethal stuff comes from her claws.

Regen would prevent that. She also has a sword, so even without the claw, she could still fight.
