Neo vs Raven

There's absolutely no way you can just randomly assume Neo knows about Maidens when that's a global secret that only a select few know without evidence.

Neo has never shown to be inherrently scared of Cinder like she was with rave

That's actually wrong. By the inherint statements Roman made about he & Neo being forced to follow Cinder's plan, they were obviously afraid to take on Cinder at that point. "That they couldn't afford to lose" implies that failing in what Cinder wanted them to do would result in her attempting to kill them. Considering the writers confirmed that Volume 2-3 Neo was already stronger than Mercury/Emerald, the fear was obviously of Cinder. If they weren't being forced to work for Cinder, Neo would never have blamed her for Roman's death.

You literally just assumed everything about Neo and Roman have ANY intention of betraying Cinder or being afraid at all to begin with. Roman has at no single moment in the show been seen afraid.

Roman and Neo had no reason to do any of what Cinder was making them do. They don't benefit from Cinder achieving her goals. Roman flat-out states that he has nothing to gain and everything to lose if he doesn't obey Cinder. Neo more than likely shares the same sentiments.

Fear doesn't have to be blatantly shown. Context clues are enough.

Besides, Neo had no way of knowing that Cinder was now a full Maiden by Volume 6, meaning that Neo was confident in taking on half-Maiden Cinder.in her High 8-C key. This is by no means a stomp, or even a clear-cut win.

All we know is that Cinder and Raven are about equal in skill, and V6 Neo forced Cinder to use magic. Even if you argue that Cinder could still maybe win without magic, the fact that she had to use her Maiden powers to end the encounter means that in terms of skill, she and Neo are comparable.

There's no context clues at all so again that's just head canon. Roman is a gangster he could have just as easily been paid to do what he does. Have you noticed Cinder has never used fear to get others to do things for her except for the White Fang?

Uh... Volume 2 Episode 1?

"Oh Roman, have a little faith. You'll know what you need when you need to know." (Proceeds to cup his cheek while her eyes light up, which is the visual tell of her Semblance)

If Roman did anything against her, she would've immolated him on the spot. Her touching his face while her eyes glow is the equivalent of pointing a gun at someone point-blank. Except the former is scarier because a gunshot can be survived, while Cinder can incinerate you with a touch; as Pyrrha later learned the hard way. Torchwick was significantly weaker than Neo, and Neo was, at the time, only somewhat stronger than Mercury according to the CRWBY.

Cinder was blatantly threatening him. And besides that, since when has Cinder ever used subtlety whenever she had the advantage in power? Salem outright scolds her for her always resorting to threatening people with raw power to get her way.

Besides that, what the hell kind of money would Cinder be able to give Torchwick? With the amount of Dust he stole, enough to massively raise the price of Dust Kingdom-wide mind you, Cinder would need to pay him enough to buy all of that Dust, plus payment for his service, and more to get him to agree to it. Watts is presumed dead, Tyrian is a known criminal, and Hazel ain't no billionaire. Salem's faction isn't exactly rich.

Like I said, context-clues are enough.

Raven. For starters, the idea that Neo was conifdent in taking on half-maiden Cinder was primarly because Cinder for the most part, was completely caught off guard and wasn't fighting seriously but trying to talk her out of it (and that's if you don't consider her probably not being at 100% after the cave in, being frozen, etc. but assuming she is...). By the time she activated her power, Neo froze in place and it was clear she would've been stomped. In comparison, Raven is far more experinced than Cinder or Neo (heck, her entire fight with Cinder had Raven playing a strong offense game for the most part, only really getting caught offguard by Cinder's Grimm arm - which was clearly draining her aura or Maiden powers). Also, Raven's portals would easily allow her to get the drop if needbe, and to turn into a raven would allow her to stay mobile, especially to (again) get the drop should Neo try her "now you see me" tactics. Or just flat out dice her up.

Add in that the fact Neo's first sighting of Raven canonically was to GTFO despite losing no stamina whatsoever against Yang, I don't see the result changing for base Raven winning unless Neo starts manhandling Qrow at full strength (which I won't be surprised happens in the future)

We may want to put this on hold, Neo is likely to get some feats in the next couple episodes

Raven's actual semblance is garbage for battle. It's quite useful outside of combat for traveling, but in combat it is far too slow and telegraphed to be utilized against any sort of even half decent opponent. Meaning any opponent that could even put up a fight against Raven would be too good for her portals to work. I mean, just look at what she has to do for them to activate. Not to mention, a red rift shows where she will be coming out from.

The reason Raven is feared and respected is because of her power and skill as a swordswoman. Her semblance is absolute trash when it comes to actual battle. I'm sure bandits can utilize it well to loot villages and get back without fuss though.
