I'd say Yang. She will become stronger as the battle goes on thanks to her Semblance. Also she has a decent AP advantage since the beginning, being 1.4 times stronger than Natsu (141 tons vs Natsu's 100)

Yang has fair AP advantage here, but I'm going with Natsu, this is almost exclusively because of the fact that while Yangs Aura will protect her for a time it is limited and once it's gone she's very susceptible to damage. So the way I see it this a battle of attrition, Natsu is far too tenacious to go down easily so if he can outlast her then chances are he'll take home the win. Though I'm still generally on the fence on this one I'm gonna say Natsu

Isn't her semblance Fire and uses fire and explosions in combat as well? Natsu isn't hurt by either and can absorb them.

He's the better brawler, trumps her in stamina, AoE and range of effectiveness. Also his enhanced senses will allow him to keep track of her even when he's not seeing her.

@Scarlet well Yang's semblance has fire as a side effect, but it isn't the main thing. Using the damage done to her and using it against the opponent

I see. Hypothetically, can Natsu eat that fire or that's just her aura in that form and not true flames?

Anyway she still uses shotgun shells that explode on contact.

It's implied to be her Aura, no instance of it actually burning. Though yeah she does use explosive rounds

Those shotgun shells aren't the only ones she uses. They're better than her regular bullets though.

Yang: Higher AP and Lifting Strength (absurdly higher lifting strength, Class M vs Class 10) and will only get stronger with her semblance. Has red shells that are very powerful and don't seem to be reliant on fire (still has fire though). Very maneuverable with Ember Celica.

Natsu: Much more versatile with fire techniques. Lightning attacks give him a great boost but will leave him exhausted (will end up making Yang extremely powerful if he decides to use it during the beginning of the fight). Needs to replenish energy by eating fire (which Yang could supply to a certain extent, not much).

Both: Very hot-headed (literally) and powers are tied to their emotions.
