Natsu is not a skilled user of this abilty and is limited for that as well as he is too use it rarely in combat.
When it comes to emotional part that is not a big problem as "emotional" includes rage and anger which is Natsu's battles in a nutshell, but again he is to use that abilty rarely so it's good argument for his defence but nothing too much.
He ain't Gildarts where you can use power nullification as main argument.
