I'm bored right now, how well do you all think Prime Hanzo would have done against Pain in a real fight considering how much Jiraiya hyped him up?

im a big Prime Hanzo guy, legit think his by and far one of the strongest and underrated shinobi of that era and even into shippuden but even then prob the same,Pain is just a step up from the sannin in general and hanzo doesnt have the toolkit that Jiraiya has to stall or avoid a lot of pain's nonsense, most of his poison besides the concentrated sack are ineffective against the pain bodies.

Questions
1. During the war are nard shared his chakra with everyone in the alliance, this caused them see nard memories and feel his emotions. So could this be classified as empathetic manipulation, memory manipulation & soul manipulation?
2. Sasuke said that sufficiently high level shinobi are able to read the minds of their opponents in H2H, wouldn’t that warrant for limited telepathy & soul manipulation for all shinobi?
3. About resistance to fear manipulation, most shinobi that have substantial more chakra then their opponents are immune to their opponent’s bloodlust imbued aura. Then wouldn’t nard and those on his level be immune to everyone else’s bloodlust aura, giving them layered resistance?

Not well. I'm of the opinion that peak Jiraiya would go like 49/51 with peak Hanzo in a hundred fights.

If I am not wrong, then hags wanted to use chakra to connect people with one another and at the time chakra was just soul energy. So I thought that it’s just two shinobi soul/psychic that are connecting with one another that allows them to read their thoughts
And for question 3, would we just give like a billion layers of fear manipulation or just give them based on notable characters like orochimaru and zabuza

That's mental energy and yeah based on feats. For example i think sasuke resisted zabuza annd stuff then orochimaro got a layer above

No. It simply means (or imply) that chakra is inherently made up of those things
It can’t be for all shinobi since the statement was regarding high level shinobi but yeah, they should have it. I could have sworn it was on Naruto's page. At least, it should apply to all Jonin tier chakra users.

I'm planning on a fear manipulation revision for the verse. A minor project but don't expect it any time soon.

They’re not closeish, they’re stronger as that’s their prime they got weaker as they grew older, Jiraiya in p1 didn’t believe Tsunade would retain her strength after all these years

Not well, Hanzo's considerably above Base Jiraiya, but even with the knowledge that Pain beat Hanzo (and Jiraiya shouldn't know about his later nerf), he thought he could beat Pain, so Pain>SM Jiraiya>Hanzo
2nd War Jiraiya was losing to non-fully transformed Han and Roshi before they even pulled out Bijuudamas, and Orochimaru would certainly get stronger given his constant drive to learn new jutsu and always rejuvenating his body by switching hosts, yet Jiraiya and Tsunade were still comparable to him

yes, Nard's profile revision will add the arguments for those, except for soul manip, which will have to wait till chakra as a whole gets revised.
yes, but same as above, and not for all Shinobi, just high level ones.
not for this reason specifically, but there are examples of layered fear manip and resistance in the verse via Orochimaru, Obito, Itachi, etc.
a lot of these are getting addressed in upcoming revisions.

That definitely isn't soul manipulaton. Has nothing to do with the soul. If Naruto shaved off pieces of his soul and shared it with the alliance, he would be dead. XD
Empathetic and memory manipulation seems to fit, but didn't this also had to do with Ino and should be relegated to her profile?

Ninjas don't really work that way. Except in extreme cases (Hiruzen and Ohnoki), ninjas don't regress considerably as they grow older. Ay is a prime example of this. Ntm that Tsunade is of Senju heritage. Darui is like 50 and he's performing feats greater than whatever we saw in his 30s. Even the exceptions are more likely in regard to stamina and not actual strength. Danzo was even older than Hiruzen as at FKS and nobody brought up his age being a factor during the Sasuke fight.
That being said, they're probably rusty (usually from being retired). Which is something that can be taken care of with "warm up" battles

I cannot believe that the scene where everyone's hands spin Naruto's Rasengan and then Sasuke has to reach out to Itachi and that's why his self-serving ideology fails is anime only.
That and the Shikaku "I'll pick up the pieces" scene.

I think it'd look cooler if they hadn't made everyone's chakra blue. I like blue chakra, I just feel like "Basic Chakra Color" Rasengan looks a bit bland.
