2. The Shinju at that point were really featless beyond their engagement with Boruto. They pressed Base Boruto but Base Code also seemed to be equivalent to Base Boruto.

So when she says the Shinju are > Code, idk if that’s reliable coming from her. I mean, even while affected by Uzuhiko, Base Code was still able to react and dodge Hidari’s attack.

there isnt a really good reason for why the author would mention this if it wasnt intended for the audience to take it at face value, especially as you pointed out in the past, the author isnt afraid to correct eida if it means informing the audience better.

I don’t recall Shikamaru’s Taijutsu skill ever being brought up or commented on, but even so, it’s not comparable. Shikamaru still is a TRAINED ninja whose bread and butter is evaluating another Ninja’s Skill Level and crafting plans around them, and has had extensive experience in doing so. Eida herself STATES she’s not trained or good at Taijutsu, and SHOWS a lack of understanding beyond face value.

Base Code is barely equivalent.

There is nothing about his interaction with Base Boruto that says physically he is “barely” equivalent. He easily reacted and stopped Boruto from tagging him, and vise versa for Boruto. Only FTG disorienting him opened up Boruto to tag him directly (Skill Issue for Code ). I’m not scaling Base Code to Boruto’s Ninjutsu.

Code was also scared shitless

He was caught be surprise, not scared shitless and he still reacted and dodged at the same time as Boruto, while nerfed.

Eida placed the Shinju above Code but she might have meant them as a collective and not as individuals.Aside from Juura casually destroying Karma Kawaki’s arm attack with his bare hand, I havent been too impressed by the Shinju. It is possible that Juura is the only one that’s stronger than Code, but we will probably find out soon.

Hidari matched Base Boruto, and the Bug Shinju seems... off. Eida was afraid of him, and frankly, I think he's hiding something.

Are you new to this thread? Scaling would have been goofy regardless.

But Boruto doesn't need the Earth's chakra for a 5B attack. Just like Sasuke didn't need lightning for an attack on the level of Kirin.
