Naruto to Boruto Discussion Thread

Welp. We ain’t getting no more better feats so it was fun while it lasted + Naruto and Sasuke will probably. Ow be as strong as everyone else
 
Instead of drawing more Chakra from the other Tailed Beast to boost Naruto we get Baryon Mode which kiss ass for a few seconds with the Cost of Kurama and his PhD
 
Baryon mode has to be the lamest form Naruto ever had.

Yeah, let sacrifice Kurama for few punches on Isshiki with mediocre art, so the two kids can get the glory of the kill after we do 90% of the work
No feats, not cool new moves, meh design.

I hate Boruto

And there were alternatives though? The writers seemingly forgot the existence of the other Tailed Beast and Naruto's connection to them.

And Baryon Mode only lasted a few seconds before Isshiki began overpowering it
 
It's pretty lame all things considered even if it helped.

The execution is as important as the concept, sometimes even more
and Baryon mode gets "E" rating on the execution department
 
We could have had at least Naruto trashing Isshiki on that Guy vs Madara style, with some great two panels art
but because the art is so mediocre we can't have even that.

There were never any other Biju present, we only ever see Naruto and Kurama hanging out, throughout the entirety of Boruto not once have any of the others been shown to be within Naruto or anything like that. Not to mention they were in an entirely separate dimension and the only people who have been shown to be able to travel dimensions or share power across dimensions were present in that battle.

And even with that, the mode was still a corner piece in getting Isshiki dead.

A mode that needs specific conditions to be met in order to have any effect in a fight. A specific form made for that very specific scenario.

But without those conditions and that specific scenario what do you get?

A form limited to CQC because using other things than CQC burns itself out quicker

Sure, it's a power that is pretty much useless against anyone with even a year left in their life but I personally find that perfectly fine. I care far more for its narrative use than I do any other. It leads into my second favorite moment of the series so far, and has one of my favorite forms of power-ups to boot to it. It also just serves to further reinforce the growth and relationship the pair have cultivated with one another, especially on Kurama's side.

can treat this shit as an AU
 
it will stay for as long as naruto characters don't have specific feats shown on panel in the manga (we can't have stuff that would happen but didn't or novels) don't forget they need to be destruction based not creation based
