Imo, this is just him complaining about being an Edo Tensei, the 2nd Hokage's Jutsu. But he does reference him and his brother beating him in a previous battle, likely the coup d'etat.

There's this as well which might refer to a battle solely credited to Kinkaku or it's just Shikamaru contemplating their situation taking on Kinkaku after the other brother was sealed

I could see it being either way considering how vague the evidence is. I would say it'd make more sense for it to be both Kinkaku and Ginkaku if such a powerful squad couldn't take them down, regardless of them being fatigued.

There's also this, which implies that both were alive for some time during the reign of the 3rd Raikage, don't know whether it was the early, middle or late reign of the 3rd Raikage. Would this possibly mean that they didn't die to Tobirama?

It was stated they used both Kurama's chakra and the Sacred Tools to drive Tobirama and the 2nd Raikage to near death that one time.
If they didn't need to use Kurama's chakra when they killed him, it might serve to show how much Tobirama regressed due to age, I suppose. Though I'm not sure if we know whether they used Kurama's chakra or not the second time.

Uh I have him at High Kage actually, but Sasuke would've won. It's pretty strongly implied Kakashi was in big trouble once the Armored Susanoo came out.

Yeah
Sasuke was more on the downhill, he was spamming susano with amaterasu earlier on. He got healed by Karin, but the effects where still there
what difficulty?
