Pride hasn't prior knowledge about his opponent but Shikamaru has.

Shikamaru also has prepare time before fight.

Now this is a good one. If Shikamaru has prep and prior knowledge. He may try to do a similar stradegy as he killed Hidan. However, Pride's shadows are completely different. Pride's shadows do not require him any effort, most of the time he just stands there and just watches the show. Shikamaru on the other hand has Chakra, has to for the most part stand still and a limited amount of time to hold. In fact, I don't think Shaddow Posseion Jutsu would work because I believe Prides shadows still attack even if he is bound.

I think Pride wins simply because Shikamaru's Jutsu's relies on him not moving and I don't know of any close up jutsu's he has? Plus Prides shadows would probably overwhlem Shikamaru's in sheer number.

Pride win, but with medium difficulty.

Pride, the only way shikamaru can win is if he traps pride somewhere dark; if the fight takes place in the forest during the day S is ripped to pieces real sharpish.
