My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

He didn’t reappear. The AFO inside Shigaraki, and the final enemy, is his Vestige, as Shigaraki has the Original AFO quirk within him. Like how the other vestiges are in Deku, or how Hawks’ Vestige was inside AFO as he was getting beat down.
Lowkey, **** hori for that. Should’ve let that bum die like the trash he is

Aren’t the vestiges kinda the original person though in a way? Like how All Might’s was becoming more visible the closer he was to death? And how All Might could feel the conversations inside One For All?

That is likely a unique case due to how One For All works and All Might being originally Quirkless, resulting in a stronger bond between vestige and the actual person.

OFA and AFO in general are a bit looser on vestige world terms since they’re the only quirks other than New Order that directly interact with souls.

Gotta be mature enough to separate the writing from the character, he is a well written villain and this was very much setup prior as he did mention his trump card with the other vestige before we see izuku weaken Tomura's resolve. The writing was all consistent there with its reasoning and execution but obviously he is a god awful evil person but it shouldn't be **** hori because the guy is a shit person that's just his character😭

I CAN FINALLY POST THIS AGAIN

But by him doing that it forced the last shigaraki interaction to be one damn page, I feel like it kinda takes away shiggys conclusion.

To be fair it was either that or Shigaraki taking his own life
Literally this, none of these villians would want to live with life in prison even if they tried to rehabilitate them its not like they would ever be free, its made very apparent again and again that they have killed countless people and that that can't be overlooked even if they are saved

AFO and Shigaraki are the modern day Palpatine and Darth Vader without question. Darth Vader isn't the final bad guy of Return of the Jedi, he got manipulated his entire life, and he was eventually redeemed at the very end and he's still beloved as one of the greatest antagonists and characters of all time.

Shigaraki is a GOAT and who cares if he got manipulated. At the very end, when he lost everything, he still stayed true to being a Hero for the Villains

He also killed America's Top Hero. They tend to have "mild" reactions when countries don't hand over terrorist.

Edit: full KA LIST

Apparently Nakamura isn’t involved but it still looks insane. I’m sad that he’s not involved in the final season but it looks like he’s not needed for an episode to look great if the leaks are true (as episode 3 proves. Plus JJK Season 2, CSM Reze arc movie, KNY Tengen vs Gyutaro/Tanjiro’s first Himokami Kagura all don’t have him either and they have jaw dropping animation at points.)

"Some" KA's. All hope is not lost. Also it doesn't really make sense for him to not participate when he has been in every season and is employed by Bones.

From what I’ve heard from people who saw the leaks, it looks great. I’m just sad that Nakamura didn’t come back for the final season because he’s such a known figure in the shows production and it’d really make the show come full circle. But who knows, maybe he’s on the last episode doing an armored Deku cut.

I would rather have him not appear at all if its some random cut in the epilogue because that would really grind my nerves.
