My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

Low 6-B is a no go.

However there are multiple calcs that may upgrade them to High 6-C in the future. However we're still waiting before making any CRT on this stuff.

Star and Stripe's Fist Bump to the Earth = 134.01 Gigatons of TNT (Large Island level)

100% Joint Training Arc's Air Pressure = 122.08 Gigatons of TNT (Large Island level)

Star and Stripe's Intercontinental Punch = 3.32 Teratons of TNT (Small Country level)
Regarding the second calc:

There is the same 1 frame problem as in the other one that wasn't accepted. The following frames are not at all animated cause the animation practically sums up the movement. While feat divided by whole timeframe would be better.

Also since the Storm is seen rotating around its own axis I think there is another flaw. It's a cylinder shape which means that when rotating around it's axis the outer part moves a higher distance than the inner part of the cylinder. In a cylinder with a radius of 10 cm it would rotate a higher distance at 8cm than at 2cm. Shouldn't we logically divide the cylinder into several parts going at different speed? Since the speed of the outer layer only applies to the outer layer.

Just LS, but idk since Shigaraki broke out of it easily
Just reread the chapter. Unclear if Shiggy broke out or Deku purposely dispel it since he was shown to be focus on using Gear Shift the next panel. And who knows, maybe this new ideal form of Shigaraki has better LS so this would've worked on Prime AM level opponents

Just saw someone say that Final War AFO is weaker than he was in Kamino because they're certain he's weaker. Reason being that he took the United States of Smash head on so he must be weaker, they can't buy the idea of him not taking permanent damage. He has to be weaker.

They even believe that incomplete Shiggy is equal in strength to complete Shiggy, saying he hasn't become stronger. Despite going from being not quite on par with All Might, to being on par with All Might. Clearly Shiggy is just lying, Jeanist is also wrong when he says he's as fast as Prime All Might.

The Hawks Villain Report is also lying when it says his physical ability is on par with Prime All Might. Cleary this is wrong and Horikoshi really means that Shigaraki is still inferior to All Might and hasn't gotten any stronger than he was in Jaku. Want to know what is the worst take of them all?

I saw someone say that Bakugo's Howitzer Impact: Cluster was going to be fatal to Shigaraki and would've killed him had he not blocked/avoided it. Meaning Bakugo's attack could one shot complete Shigaraki, who's as durable as All Might was in his prime.

Those are the types to use Death of the author to justify their headcanon while disregarding statements. Should probably just ignore them
I swear I hate people that use death of the author. You could point out a statement saying the character is wall level and transonic but they will justify city level and speed of light using weird feats and death of author

To be fair….it did blow away a lot of hands before it did reach Shigaraki and once it did reach him it blew off like part of his face and chest.

So if Shiggy is as durable as prime all might and the attack was hit dead on…maybe it wouldn’t have one shot but it would’ve done some extreme damage.

The characteristic spinning was what blew away the arms not the final main explosion itself, which was detonated at point blank range of shigaraki. His chest and the rest of his body was fine and only part of his face was burned mostly due to the heat of the attack not its force

I mean yeah but PIS is a thing and sometimes the author is not actually aware of how strong/fast they have made their works. Look at what happend to JJK or that Flash feat where he saves an entire city from a nuclear explosion. Sometimes the author will state that the character is this strong/fast despite multiple scientifically accurate calculations suggesting otherwise. Like most things it's a case by case situation

Not at all. There is nothing in between Shigaraki and Bakugo before the big boom.

I don't see how anyone could rate a character City level and speed of light in that scenario, unless the author himself is just stupid. We can ignore the author if they say a character is only Wall level or Transonic, but have clear feats of destroying an entire building/city block or shown to be faster than a sniper bullet.

There are many cases where an author doesn't really know how strong something is. However once again, I don't see how an author can write down feats that are calculated as 7-B and SoL, despite only being Wall level and Transonic. How does something that absurd even happen? Maybe if there are multiple authors/writers?

Are we going to give Shigaraki all the new fancy quirks AFO used against Endeavor in their bout(except maybe Rewind) or do we assume he recently acquired them

He doesn't have rewind, flashback made it clear he just had a modified Quirk Erasing Bullet that Doctor Garaki made.

Also I'm not okay with giving Shigaraki all of those Quirks, since it isn't impossible for AFO to have acquired them recently.

Shigaraki has a high chance of showing off his Quirks in the future, so we'll see if he has those abilities or not.

Noted. Also now that i notice it, did AFO have 2 Air walk since he gave one to Nagant and still have one to use against Endeavor and according to the newest chapter he had the 2 quirks that he gave to Spinner but since he never use them probably doesn't need to add them to his profile

He has an unknown number of nameless quirks. It all depends on what power Hori wakes up and decides to add for him.

I wouldn't be surprised, since we already know Quirk duplication is possible.

It could even be another Quirk. Man has an unknown amount of Quirks.

Which makes it hard to determine which quirks he has pre capture and which quirks he recently stolen. Since basically all the quirks he has pre capture should be in Shigaraki arsenal

Death of the Author is a valid thing, if dozens of feats contradict a statement of the author it could just mean that the author doesn’t know what he’s talking about

I've seen wild results from seemingly city busting attacks via KE and Vaporization so I wouldn't hold my breath just yet

pretty sure busting a city would literally yield mountain level results
Depends on the city's size. Assuming complete destruction, destroying Tokyo would be 6-C with the explosion formula.

The same formula puts destroying New York at Low 6-B. However destroying the Vatican City in the same way would only be 7-C.

Honestly I'm expecting another cloud feat, we have a perfect set up for Deku or Shigaraki to blow all those clouds away with a big attack.

Maybe it won't happen but I won't be surprised if it actually does happen.

I wish Deku and Shigaraki fought in a city or a mountain rather than a floating island, kinda hard to calc any destructive feats since there’s such a small area
