My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

Deku stated he can’t react to the bullets without Danger Sense.

In fact, the only reason Deku “blocked” the bullet was because of Danger Sense, which he further emphasizes.
Are you referring to this panel? He is saying even Danger Sense can't help him react fast enough, not that he can't react at all.

In the exact same feat, Deku says that he would have been donutted without Danger Sense. This means that Nagant’s bullet fully blitzed 45% Deku.

He would be a goner because of being taking by surprise by the bullet suddenly hitting him

I don't think you realize Deku won't be able to see the bullets coming unless they were really close to him, just like in this panel.

Furthermore, this bullet was shot in a previous panel and Deku didn't even know the bullet was coming towards him until the very last moment.

You can even see how Deku is able to travel some distance after the bullet was fired, and get a full idea of what to do before the bullet could reach him.

This is a crazy prediction skill for Lady Nagant, who shot the bullet before Deku even jumped.

Link still isn’t working, but wasn’t Deku shot from the front anyways? I don’t see why he wouldn’t have at least reacted to it at some point in its travel

The feat happened at the beginning of Chapter 312, in page 4.

Nagant fires a bullet, Deku proceeds to jump to another building and decides to retreat as Hawks advised (while still unaware that a bullet was coming for him), Danger Sense kicks in, and Deku finally sees the bullet curving around a corner, and still he was able to react and move both hands fast enough to stop it, and even while being pushed by this bullet he could move his left arm and stop the second, all while having no idea where they are coming from.

The bullets aren't blitzing Deku at all.

So like what do I do with it?
It’s definitely a speed feat in some way you want me to try and calculate the distance Deku moved to dodge when Nagant’s bullets came through
The bullets are faster than 45% Deku's movement speed, but there's nothing that needs to be calculated.

Yo Shindo needs Mountain level AP and Dura for dispersing/weakening Muscular's fibers. This is something 100% Deku could not do (at least by the time of the training camp arc). And Dura since he states he takes the recoil of the focused vibrations.
IIRC the aftershocks are like 1/32 of the actual power

So Shindo’s durability would be actually City level.

I thought we only divided his dura by 1/32 for his earthquake feat because the energy was dispersed. If it's focused on Muscular directly and he's tanking the full aftershock it should scale to full. Although it's a good upgrade for him either way.

What happened to the 20km of the coast of Japan calc ? Are we saving that one for the Final War Crt ?

I’ll roast it right here: your premise is flawed.
That’s not a roast just a critic.
Roasting it is muuuuch different.
Anyways I saw the same thing and I can see it, but All Might’s arm isn’t next to his waist in the panels which we see the first volley fire (atleast from our view) it’s already up, implied to be at the front of his face, and given that’s the first volley of explosions. It’s fair to atleast try

I’ll roast it right here: your premise is flawed. Bakugo hit All Might from multiple places between the panel of his hand in his face and All Might actually blocking. So All Might easily could have been hit by that explosion to the face, then started defending himself from the other explosions after Bakugo started moving his hand wildly.
You are correct. The calc is not valid.

So i guess to actually defend it at this part. There are two explosions that were sent all Might’s way in the first explosion panel, Left and Right, one from each hand, and All Might doesn’t have three hands, so it’s obvious that he’s going to try and block the one going for his face, and blind him.

a piece of supporting evidence is that we see All Might’s stance, we see in the panel where Bakugou throws his hand out that he has a stance of his left arm and shoulder going behind him (A classic in the anime grab Department). His stance is directly different from this in the next panel we see All Might who’s arm is not beside his waist anymore and is instead infront of his face (atleast, I’ll assume so given it’s not there and his arm didn’t just vanish)

Of course there is the side of me that thinks your theory is partial correct.

In the anime Fight, Bakugou let’s off smaller ”explosions” (that have the crackle Sfx not the boom one, atleast in the one I saw, and I don’t put it past YouTubers to change the sfx) that don’t reach All Might, this happens directly after he got grabbed. So perhaps another way of thinking about it could be that the explosions let off directly afterwards were those ones, then the two we see in the first panel (which he blocks) and then the volley he sends on the “ow ow ow ow ow ow ow” panel.

Eh Anyways ima go back to trying to calc other things.

Im gonna try and find something for Uraraka’s Zero G lifting strength JT and beyond because the unknown annoys me

Should Nine get 7-C AP with shields? He can easily overpower Deku’s 20% strikes and halt his kinetic energy. Iirc on this wiki, we consider blocking strikes as AP

Also when it comes to finding speed from KE, is it case by case or a total rule? I calced Endeavor dispersing a cloud from flying, and he doesn’t attack or throw a punch in the whole sequence. The entire KE is from his flight, which means it could only come from speed logically
