Not to mention, Impostor has his gun which is definitely doing massive damage here and he can physically overpower Groot with higher LS

Given how Impostor is actually smarter, has higher LS to incap, and he outranges Groot’s vines. So Groot can perform stealth? So can Impostor, but smarter. True, while fireflies may be troublesome as they could detect Impostor while he shuts the lights off, he could already see in the dark while Groot cant. And by killing the fireflies, there goes Groot’s way of detecting the Impostor.
