Motivations for umineko ratings?

You should probably ask DarkLK about this.

However, it is possible that a few characters that are currently on "Low 1-B" should be regular "1-B", since the ACF wiki uses the former term for 12- to 16-Dimensional characters, whereas we only use it for 12-Dimensional ones.

From what I understand, it's because certain characters exist in a realm where they see entire multiverses with infinite possibilites and multiple dimensions as fictional stories. While other characters, Bernkastel and Lamdadelta, for instance, see those characters and their realm as fictional stories.

Yes. If I remember correctly DarkLK told me that each level of fiction has "kakeras" with 5-6 dimensions each, so each level above that adds another 5-6 dimensions. But I may misremember.

Minor things, but I thought some layers had less dimensions (i.e. 4), though it's been a while and I could be totally wrong.

hey, may i have scans of the 5-6 dimensional kakeras? i've heard Bern/Lamb being 15-17D, and being able to ascend to any finite dimension they want, so i'm just wondering too if I could also get scans for them being 15-17D and the City of Books being a 22D location.

I do not have any saved. Sorry. We used to link to a lot more Umineko scans for proof on the main verse page, but the ACF wiki regrettably deleted almost all of them.

However, you can very politely ask DarkLK if you wish. There are no guarantees that he will be interested however.

There's this respect thread for the When They Cry franchise, which has a lot of scans / quotes / etc. from the series that can be used. If/when I have more time and energy, I could go through the thread to find everything.

That would be very appreciated, yes. Then you can upload the most useful scans to this wiki, and link to them in the main Umineko no Naku Koro ni verse page, along with inserting the relevant quotes.

I'll start compiling the useful scans and relevant quotes and then move them onto the page once I'm done.

I believe in Prom that she can do it. :)

On a serious note, that's one way to have in order to know about the Umineko verse. *Nods*

Given that Higurashi and Umineko and future series fall under the When They Cry setting, it may be best to make a When They Cry page to list all this information.

Thank you.

I will, when I have the time, go through the Umineko (and Higurashi) profiles to clean them up, elaborate on their powers, and give more justification for their statistics.

Oh that will be nice. As some of my friends have been complaining about the lack of info for those characters. Let me know if you need help. I'm currently reading through the series and will hopefully finish it soon.

If this is because of it being derived from the respect thread, I believe you are misinterpreting.

I understand the stats. But just understanding it isn't enough justification for the stats, and I'm not going to replay something as long as Umineko to get 20 scans needed as evidence. The respect thread had scans I could use, so I used them, and I linked it as it has a much more comprehensive description on a lot of things in the setting. The description I wrote is much briefer.

I didn't think you'd really be interested in giving an in-depth explanation for Umineko stats, and the lack of evidence could lead to the pages getting deleted as with the Demonbane and Dies Irae pages in the past, so I went to find the evidence to prevent that from happening. I'm sorry if you disapprove of me using a respect thread. If it's inaccurate, then that's my mistake, and I apologize.

Okay. Given that you are the foremost Umineko expert, would you be willing to give any suggestions regarding how Promestein can improve the pages and explanations?

The few scans from Bern's profile are basically useless, they prove nothing.

What is the problem with her name?

What is the problem with her Cosmic Devourer category?

20 scans needed as evidence

20 scans... lol

...the gods and the Creator. These beings are boundless and lack any restrictions, technically lacking even a meaning and an existence.

I spent so much time arguing against this Coston's Interpretation, and you just copy it here...

The name section was just overly long. I try to avoid having overly long and rambly sections for any name. She doesn't really eat cosmic structures, though she talks about tearing into things and ripping out their guts constantly, it's only really metaphor, IIRC. It's not really a big deal, though. If you want to revert it, revert it.

There is more of an explanation on Bernkastel's page then there was before, but yes, you are right.

20 scans is obviously an understatement.

I apologize for the inaccuracy, then.

Bern and Furude Rika are her real and important names, whereas Frederica is just an alias that she even does not uses in Umineko.

Ripping out guts has has no relation with her cosmic devourer status. She is the Universe and the natural way to win over the other Voyager is absorbing and becoming a single Universe with this Voyager.

Corrected, then.

What would be a better description for gods / The Creator / etc., then? Featherine's page lists the same explanation for the Creator.

Not really. There is not assumed that there are crowd of some gods who are as limitless as the Creator.
