The Mosasaurus was a far more adept swimmer and had more impressive jaws than the Spinosaurus. It could very well outmanuever the Spinosaurus in the water and inflict fatal wounds with a few bites. So I'm siding with the squamate for this fight.

Well, the Spino has claws but the Mosasaurus did kill the T-rex.
The Spino's claws simply aren't anywhere near as impressive as the Mosasaurus' jaws and would not be able to inflict serious injury before the lizard fatally wounds the theropod.

Well the Spino did fight large fish like the mosasaurus and Mosas usually relied on fighting prey smaller than it, but the Spino is just as heavy.

Mosasaur teeth marks have been found on other mosasaur fossils. They were certainly capable of holding their own and willing to attack creatures its own size. Regardless, Spino just has too many weaknesses and shortcomings in this matchup
