Normal Omega

XMMZEra

So, as of late I have wondered what would've gone down if X fought Omega in the Elf Wars without the aid of Zero and Axl, while Omega in turn didn't have an army of mechanaloids with him.

Neither allowed the Dark Elf since it's more powerful than either of them individually and would make this unfair in turn.

Omega has all abilities that can be attributed with each form, X has all weapons (will not make this a hax stomp since Omega is very hax resistant, being Zero's original body, but versatility is always good)

Round 1: Normal Omega vs X

Round 2: '
True Form Omega vs X'

Omega Zero
Who wins?

X.

If Zero can beat Omega. And X ties with Zero.

X could beat Omega.

X is far more experienced and as strong as Omega.

Some Hax could harm him.

But in raw power, X ties with him, giving Omega is in Zero's original body.

Also, X takes first round, Medium difficulty.

I'd Still give X the second round, but with higher difficulty.

there's no way for X to win in X5

Zero is the only one left standing no matter what path you take. i mean, they both go down but Zero gets immediately back up in the cutscene while X remains unconscious. pretty sure this happens on every path.

^While that may be so, even Sigma acknowledges X as the superior Hunter (just as Zero did in original script of Mega Man X and the script of Xtreme 2).

While X and Zero are close peers in power, X has consistently been the stronger starting in X4. By X8, even without Armor, X's Buster can dish out way more damage than Zero's default saber. The thing is, it may appear to some as though Zero is more powerful, but this is only because Zero is much more aggressive than X and less likely to hesitate and show mercy to enemies. By statistics and feats, however, X is more powerful.

All this to say, if Zero could take Omega, X can too, and might even be more efficient at it than Zero, due to his superior mobility and range.

X and Zero are equal.

Their match in X5 will always end in a tie (even if you beat Zero in the game, he uses Soul Body at the end of the match to incapacitate X as well - and vice-versa).

But what Saitama said also holds true - Not only Zero gets up but he also stops Sigma from killing X, driving him away. So they should be at least considered equal to each other.

"Ultimate Armor does more damage than Black Zero"' or "X Buster does more damage than Z-Saber" is game mechanics. Heck, even if it weren't this would be debatable because depending on the game Z-Saber is more destructive to compensate the fact that Zero players need to fight up close (And let's not even bring up Genmurei that outright oneshots X).

trying to use game mechanics to justify X being superior would be couinterproductive actually

Zero has almost always been better than X when played optimally. it's why speedrunners generaly use Zero rather than X in every game.

against bosses in particular Zero completely trounces X's times

If zero in a weaker copy managed to defeat omega, it is obvious that X could also do it, and still more easily.

X, totally. If a weaker version of Zero and abismally weaker reploids made from X's DNA (bad writing from the team, androids don't have DNA) could damage Omega, the real deal can do so faster. He's got more weapons, more effective and better showings.
