I was watching guardians of the galaxy and heard that it was stated "Even a single being cannot withstand its power for long. And a planet? A planet would be torn apart." by The Collector and i thought in this context he talks about what can contain the power of the power stone but if he first reffers being as a plural or talks about many different sized/types of beings why couldn't this work for planets? If he says that no planet can hold the power of the power stone and all would be destroyed wouldn't that also apply for large sized planets?
The wiki acknowledged that:
The "varies" would apply to any-sized target.

Some random tidbits being reported on:

  • (On X-Men): “Thunderbolts” helmer Jake Schreier is set to direct the tentpole, with the studio fine-tuning Michael Lesslie’s script. Casting will begin soon, and the field is wide open. But Marvel has indicated to reps that it is looking for younger talent, rather than A-listers, to “keep the cost down,” says another agent. Marvel is holding July 23, 2027, on the release calendar for an unnamed film, but sources say it won’t be filled by “X-Men.” Marvel declined comment for this story.
  • “Avengers: Doomsday” will feature at least one mega-payday in Robert Downey Jr., who is returning to the Marvel fold as villain Doctor Doom. Sources say Downey Jr. has earned between $500 million and $600 million over the course of seven Marvel movies and three cameos and won’t be working at a discount on “Doomsday”; neither will Chris Hemsworth, who’s returning as Thor. As for who will be the star of the film, sources say Pascal is not the centerpiece, but does have an integral role. Regardless, the tentpole is on schedule to open Dec. 18, 2026.
  • There won’t be much to analyze for the next year. The next Marvel movie to hit theaters is “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31, followed by “Doomsday” in December and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in December 2027. Amid an industrywide pullback on superheroes, the Marvel brain trust is feeling no sense of urgency on the long-gestating “Blade” reboot or even a new “Deadpool” outing, sources say. However, ideas are percolating on a Ryan Coogler-helmed “Black Panther 3,” creating excitement internally.

I think i get the concept even though the link for some reason dosne't work.

Ive talked about this topic before the last time a person tried to scale Stormbreaker to the Infinity Guantlet but ive never seen anyone try to scale Thanos durability to his universal attack potency with it. As i said in the previous upgrade thread when thanos snapped the energy that was used to snap away people went directly backwards to Thanos which is when we also gets his Gamora scene (as stated by the Russo Brothers in a audio to the movie). This means that everytime someone uses the stones they endure the energy which would be consistant as Iron Man died after using the stones and Thanos almost died destroying them showing varies energy output per usage.
Since we saw Thanos state that he was going to "destroy" the universe which would need atleast universal energy amounts which he would have to endure. Would this not give thanos universal durability?

Checked out the Iron Fist episode of Eyes of Wakanda to see if there were any feats worth looking into but there really isn't anything smh

Same... the only good thing so far is the artstyle which is incredible.
also wakanda had some sort of "hologram projection" 3300 years ago??

Yeah that was pretty weird. From what I skimmed through the show seems aimed at kids which is disappointing.

A glimpse on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Is that supposed to be a logo for the Inner Demons?

1-A MCU Scarlet Witch?

Low 2-C was already a big stretch...
Can a guy not have some fun 😂 (just playing)

Besides, that's not MCU Wanda. The author of the TVA comics confirmed it, and she wouldn't mysteriously end up in the TVA after getting crushed by Mount Wundagore. The comic said the basement she was locked in was kept secret during the time of He Who Remains.

Loki can go to and manipulate the observation plane

Loki’s artbook was amazing, it had incredible concept art, explained the show’s finale and the Temporal Loom, and even introduced the Living Tribunal into the MCU.

Just got out of the theater to see First Steps. It was pretty good.

Is it me or Galactus is actually pretty weak in this (he wasn't fighting to kill or really fighting at all but still)? Does he need his ship to devour planets or can he do it alone and the ship is just there to make it faster? Also, he certainly has Type 1 immortality but does he have more? From my understanding, his hunger is an essential cosmic force that must exist and he makes it clear giving his power to someone else is the only way he can die so he can't even starve himself to death?

Also, Doom. The scene is honestly genuinely creepy, especially if you're a parent (I'm not but I can see how horrifying such situation would be. Though I really hope they make him keep his mask on for most of the next movies and don't just remove it to see RDJ's face).

I think he needs it to eat planets. I mean, otherwise how could he? He's not even an ant in comparison to the planets he devours. The ship turns the planets into molten lava/rocks that are injected through the cables he had on his back

I finished drawing a new Infinity Ultron piece (I'll post it in here either tomorrow or on Monday).

(FYI, the one in my profile pic is from last year)

Who should I do next?

Infinity Galactus, Arishem, or something else? (Y'all can pick)

Just finished watching Eyes of Wakanda.

  • I'm not exactly sure where the characters in this show scale, as we could either assume that these past era Dora Milaje/War Dog/Iron Fist characters are comparable to their present day counterparts (so, 9-A base stats), or we could just scale them from their own feats (which would probably be in the 9-B range)
  • Probably the most noteworthy feat that scales to base statistics would be Noni withstanding this blast from a distance
  • There's something amusing about the fact that we could technically get a profile for MCU Achilles now. He was comparable to Memnon/B'Kai, an undercover War Dog, and took a hit from the latter's Vibranium gauntlet, which damaged a stone column
  • The Iron Fist in this series was able to take on a cafeteria full of War Dogs, who had never encountered anyone who moved so fast
  • The future Black Panther specifically credited the Heart-Shaped Herb for allowing her to survive travelling back in time using a quantum scanner. Not sure if that counts as any specific resistance for Heart-Shaped Herb users or not
  • The alien army from the averted future, the Horde, came from the edge of the galaxy and blotted out the sun through sheer numbers, overwhelmed Earth's nations (except Wakanda) combining forces against them, then devastated Wakanda afterwards

I only watched up to episode 2. God damn though they r making Wakanda incredibly advanced in terms of tech... they had technologies 3300 years ago we don't even have today... "holographic" projection, some sort of vibranium instant healing spray

They had technology that not even Tony Stark had in infinity war. The healing Spray was nuts

There's something funny about the fact that there was canonically an Avengers lineup (Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, and Vision) that existed for an entire year but was never truly seen in action as a team onscreen. The closest we got was the opening to Civil War, (except War Machine and Vision were absent from that mission), and the Captain America: Road to War comic (which is of questionable canonicity due to lacking the MCU Red Stamp, though I don't think it's been contradicted in any significant manner by subsequent media)

An odd realization I had after watching Fantastic Four: First Steps was that it would be the last Marvel Studios movie I'd be watching in theaters as a student before I graduate from university after next spring...

Huh.
First of, congrats buddy

Second, good entrance to the world of "Bruh I feel old". As a 28 years old guy who didn't really took advantage of his college years for various reasons and has some regrets about it and still can't believe it was like five years ago, I welcome you :)

About Eyes of Wakanda, apparently one episode happens during the Trojan War during the 13th Century BC, which is believed to be the era during the war happened in real life, and Achilles is in there. As a MASSIVE Greek Mythology fan, I have to ask, does he show something good?

Achilles is not established to have any special powers beyond being a very skilled warrior, and I'm not sure if he'd make it into the 9-A peak human scaling chain unless we assume that past Wakandan War Dogs are comparable to War Dogs in the present era. At worst, Achilles should still be around 9-B, considering he took a hit from a Wakandan gauntlet that was shown to be able to damage a stone column. If scaling to other peak humans of the verse can't be accepted, I think his minimum speed should still be in the Subsonic range, considering Memnon was able to intercept an arrow that was mid-flight.
