Marvel Character Speeds

I personally think Wolverine needs a small speed upgrade on here.

I have several comic scans that show that no way in hell does he have Subsonic speed.

Well, if Cap is Upgrade to HS+ (Mach 21 IIRC) then Wolverine can be Likely Hypersonic/+

Aye
Especially since this scan here estimates that Wolverine's combat speed, and reaction time is .038 seconds.

Which explains why despite the fact that he has rarely ever used his speed. He's been able to consistently speed blitz or disarm people FTE before any of them realize what had happened and catch bullets in mid-air.

So if anything. I'd say his travel speed would be Supersonic (since he has some bullet, missiles, and laser dodging feats) while his Combat Speed and Reaction Time should be between Hypersonic or High Hypersonic and possibly Massively Hypersonic.

Hypersonic or Hypersonic+, yes

Higher than that, just no.

Yeah I know, but you can always put in "Possibly" this and that for the High Hypersonic or Massively Hypersonic thing. But other then that, Hypsonic is definitely the maxium limit for Wolverine's potential speed upgrade.

Well, Wolverine was technically placed in a lower speed tier than Captain America in the Master Edition handbook, but given that he has consistently been able to keep up, I suppose that placing them around the same level may be reasonable.

Personally I find it a bit weird a superhuman being would be lower than a peak human speed-wise

When "peak humans" can react to hypersonic+ speeds though, weird gets thrown out the window.

Besides, he could be rated superhuman due to his claws, Regenerationn and sense of smell.

He was rated higher physically than Captain America othervise.

I have now upgraded Batman and all characters scaled from him to Subsonic+ based on the above calculations, and Iron Fist, and all characters scaled from him, to Subsonic.

If more calculations of Captain America's speed feats are done, I will update the Marvel characters accordingly.

All characters placed at "Peak Human" speed in the handbooks were placed at "At least Subsonic", and most of the character placed at "Athlete level" in the handbooks were placed at "Likely Subsonic", since characters like Daredevil and Wolverine, who were placed here, have consistently usually been able to keep up with characters in the former category.

There were a few in the "Athlete" category that I was uncertain about though, such as Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Kingpin, and Colossus, so I did not update them. But I can fix it if you wish.

Here are feats for Deadpool and Spider-Man that I have asked the calculation group to take a look at btw:

Do you know the name of the guy in the second scan? That should just be some simple angsizing. If he has a listed hight I could do it in a few minutes.

It was a mercenary named "Chance", if I do not misremember.

Anyway, my apologies for not remembering that the Black Panther has a higher Mach 21 feat that we can scale "Peak Human" characters from (as well as "Athlete" characters that have consistently kept up with them), and we can likevise probably scale "Superhuman" characters from Spider-Man's Mach 406 speed feat.

The question is whether we should scale "Enhanced Human" characters from the Thing's Mach 356 speed feat, or wait for Deadpool avoiding lightning to get calculated?

The Enhanced human calc, how high do you think the lightning calc will get? Mach 356 looks a good solid number for the tier if a bit high, if the difference between EH and Peak Human, and that of EH and Superhuman is what we look at.

On another note. Brevoort said that Thor and Loki has reflexes like that of a regular asgardian. If whatever scaling (or feats) we get for Thor accepted, then it would apply to Loki and every other asgardian maybe. Thoughts?

Well, Loki and Thor both have the same speed tier as Spider-Man, as have virtually all other Master Edition profiles for Asgardians.

Relativistic Spidey, Thor, and fellow Enhanced Humans. I like it but really? I'm not one for numbers so I can neither make heads nor tails of it.

The working is odd. He divided c by distance instead of vice versa. The answer itself seems right more or less but he didn't show his scaling. In other words, his working is wrong.

"He divided c by distance"

I typed that before I actually put in the numbers and forgot to edit it back after I realized I put it in wrong.

"didn't show his scaling"

It was in the picture? I get what you mean though. I had to use the pythagorean theorem to get the distance of the diagonal lines, and then I added those together in Spidey's case. I didn't think it was an important detail.

In addition, there is the whole precognition issue muddling things up. Perhaps it would be better if we used the Mach 406 feat?

Okay. "Massively Hypersonic. Relativistic reflexes with help of precognition" then?

Yeah, we might want to wait to see if anyone else comments on the blog. I have a feeling the distance might be a bit higher than what I got. It shouldn't be enough to knock it down from Relativistic, but it might go down to 0.3c or somesuch.

So I'm wondering if his precog was as good as Peter's, as he had less time to get used to it and such. Or is Ock in Peter's body better than Peter was, I forget.

Pretty sure physically, there was no difference, he was even able to avoid the Avengers for a considerable time.
