Mario has an AP advantage. Most of her repertoire comes from ome-time things so I don't get that complaint.

Don't take this the wrong way, @Zachary and @Js but...and? Just being familiar with it doesn't make it any less useful. For example, just because a Charizard fought a Blastoise doesn't put it any less of a disadvantage against a Feraligatr.

The best thing I could find is that she can see through illusions, but she needs the Armor of Friendship, which isn't standard equipment.

If both are bloodlusted, twilght can use the want it need it spell, which doesen't need physical contact and occurs just by looking at an object.
