Gonna give this to Mario. Teleportation and flight may seem like an upper hand for Thanos, but this version of Mario has also dealt with foes with the same abilites. As for energy projections, Mario has avoid lightning/long ranged eletricity attacks from his enemies as well. Only advantage Thanos has is limited healing and maybe his shockwaves. Even then, the fire flower and star man should be more than enough to beat Thanos.

My vote goes to Mario.
