Making whole pages for discussion topics

As I´ve been pretty much told to separate the topic, I´m moving that here.

"Simply put, my idea is to make "pages" that supplement categories for the discussion threads, likely also just copying the format the category pages have.

It would help a lot with the organization, so those that look for anything regarding the changes of a tier in a character/verse, may just check the resective topic, for example."

Why not? Maybe you´re thinking the idea is to make category pages for them, but it isn´t exactly that.

Basically, the concept is to make actual pages in the same fashion to a verse page, profiles, etc., but following the standart fomat used for categories themselves.

We cannot create meaningless regular pages just so topics can be added in the discussions forums.

If it was possible to create topics without the need of pages or categories I'd agree, but if it means having useless pages/categories i'm against it

They wouldn´t be useless, they would bring more organization to threads that still have a slot avaiable.

I can see the problem about having pages that can look weird for a wiki´s standart, but that is up to debate.

The point is that a page that exists solely to add topics would be empty and serve no purpose at all except adding topics.

While it isn't completely useless, it would really look bad

Maybe adding pictures and text to explain its purpose would help reduce that problem?

Also, if it was possibly to create topics without related pages, the disorganisation would get worse, due to differences in spelling, designation, capital letters, etcetera.

A standart can be set in each verse page in that case, and likely some note in the Forum page for categories not really related to an actual series.

That would not be practical, and we can still not do this in the first place due to the wiki settings, so this discussion seems meaningless.

Wiki settings? What´s preventing from just adding a new page that lists the most recommended pages (which would also be made like before-mentioned, then again) to use solely as categories for the forum discussions?.

Yeah, discard the other idea I had to list stuff about it in the verse pages, as the verse page itself does the job if needed in such case.
