Well, for starters, spoiler alert (not really anything even remotely important).
So, I watched IGN's little video on things Link could do in BotW, and there's a few new things. Firstly, he can stop time with something called the statsis rod (or something like that). It would actually be useful time manipulation from what I've seen so far, and it can be MUDA'd as it was demonstrated that attacking a boulder while time stopped does accumulative damage and makes it sent flying.
And that was the big part. Anyway, new weapons include some magnet rod, so magnetism manipulation, and he should be put under the categories of sword and axe users, and stealth users if that's a thing.
