okey so Tenshinhan uses a Taiyoken against Kid Goku, but he grabs Master Roshi's glasses before the technique can hit him.

In the guides and in the manga the taiyoken is described as light

"A Crane School Technique. Tien Shinhan first used itd uring his Fight with Goku at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai.Gathering Ki in his Upper Body, he converts it to Light Energy and radiates it out in front of his opponents face. This is used to retreat from Battle by blinding his opponent's eyes. The amount of Light is connected to the Strength of a person's Ki, and the Light Source will become Stronger the more Ki the user has. Goku was the first person from
outside the Crane School to use this technique."

- Daizenshuu 4, Page 113

So this makes kid goku ftl?

Seeing as stronger characters well into MFTL or Infinite Speed have been caught off-guard by the solar flare, it's clear that the technique's attack speed, and not just potency, varies based on the user's power level. If you argue for fixed speeds at FTL levels, you'd be providing anti-feats for much of the later DB speed scaling.

This should be closed.

This could be explained away by several factors, the most important of which is that Characters that get caught by the Solar Flare don't know about it, they've never seen it before. Goku was expecting The Taiyoken, which is why he was able to dodge it. This still does not take away from the fact that Goku moved that Distance before it could reach him, but it explains why pretty much everyone else gets caught by the Solar Flare. On Namek, Gohan does not know what Krillin did even after he uses The Taiyoken, meaning someone like Vegeta or Dodoria wouldn't know what's happening until they've already been caught by it.

I wasn’t expecting the light, it won’t reach my eyes for what is to my perspective, months, but I was caught off guard. :( The actual degree of speed in db gets so high that SoL is just nothing. Like, a snail to me is proportionally faster
