Lol what ?
Wait how is it ?
Agito is basically a Satanael expy, well, kind of. That's a name i'm sure as **** you're very familiar with. A figure who encourages humanity to rebel against the Demiurge/equivalent godly figure, who in this case is mostly the Overlord of Darkness and/or El Lords i guess. Supposedly, there's also a bit of a parallel/similarities between Gnosticism and some part of Greek myth, namely Prometheus, who originally gave humanity fire.
Moving on a bit from that tangent, do you know who also gave humanity the seed of Agito? The El of
Fire. His name?
Promes. So as you can see, the reference is there, and it's planned all along. Really shows there's actual research that went into the mythology of the series. Though i heavily doubt this is written by Inoue, some other rando anon must've wrote this. Kinda like how the Grongi isn't something that Arakawa and Takatera came up with.
You remember about that tapestry thing from the OP? You can read the explanation for the tapestries of Agito (which in itself tells you about the genesis of that universe) here. Posted on 2014, and IIRC got popular again as a discussion topic in the western KR fanbase back in around 2016-2017

So basically there's this one godly being called Theos. Theos went on creating the world, and the he proceed to create the 7 Els (of which we only saw a few in the actual show itself). After the 7 Els, Theos went on to create Malakh or angel. The word itself is practically identical to the Arabic word for angel (ملاًئِكة) as i'm sure you're also familiar given that we're both muslim. These Malakh things are what we know as Lords in the show proper, it's the generic monster side. Then he also creates animal in the image of the Malakh.
Anyhow, Theos created the Malakh in the image of the Els, and then he also created humanity in the image of himself. After the creation of man, the world becomes akin to a paradise.
Then things went to shit because human breed so ******* fast. This made them arrogant and believe that they have a stake to claim as rulers due to
1. The abundance of their number
2. The fact that they were created in the image of Theos, unlike the Malakh who were created merely in the image of the Els
The Malakh got real ******* pissed at this and then they wage a war on humanity that last for about 4 whole decades. Thing is, human isn't really a race that can fight the Malakh on an equal ground so suffice to say they all got their ass readily clapped. Classic human folly trope.
Promes, who is the El of Fire, who is also apparently the Overlord of Light? Felt symphaty for humanity and decide to side with them. Fell in love with a human woman and then had a child. This child is something called Nephilim, a half-human half-godly hybrid. Anyhow this Nephilim shit is a strong, green-colored, savage-looking warrior (sounds familiar). The catch is that this shit is real ******* violent and also a threat to basically all race. The humans, the Malakhs, and the Els. They're also kinda caniballistic. Indiscriminately eating human, Malakh, and animals. They're kinda batshit insane.
It's Gills in case you didn't notice btw.
Malakh eventually won the war, and Promes is also killed, but not before granting humanity with what's left of his power. This is the seed of Agito. And then the remaining 6 Els then flood the entire world so that the world can be a blank slate to just create everything anew.
Theos suddenly felt symphaty towards human and then he pick a pair of human amogst the survivor alongside a pair of other surviving animals then putting them all into one bigass ark ala Noah. Theos seems to really like the human for no apparent reason, my guess is that it's just a form of narcissism because he created the entire race in the image of himself anyway, but that's beside the point.
Anyway, the Els are furious at this merciful deed by Theos and they called him out on this. Theos doesn't give a single piece of flying **** but the Els are also not letting up. They eventually made a compromise with Theos saying that "the next time the world starts to overpopulate, the Els and Malakh can come down to clean up again. Only then could they judge if mankind and the Nephilim are truly their enemy and whether they're worthy to exist or not."
Then Theos goes the **** to sleep.
Then there's another tapestry which depict mankind walking along what seems to be a parted see, with a red Kamen Rider-like figure walking alongside them, with the Malakh pussed to the side looking all blue and battered. There's also a blue-colored warrior figure there as well.
The red KR-like figure might tricked people into believing it's Kuuga, but it's actually Agito. It's red because Agito is in his flame form, also to symbolizes how this Agito is someone who receives Promes' (El of Fire, main color being red, with color usually associated with fire also being red) gift. While the blue warrior is basically just G3.
This tapestry symbolizes a few things. The overall message is that in order for mankind to survive, they have to coexist with the Agito, which ties into the end of the show. The blue warrior symbolizes how humanity can progress and eventually obtaining enough power to fight the Malakh (Lords) on equal standing without the use of Agito power. There's also the implication that the Agito are basically just a "better" Nephilim than what Promes originally made, but they're also entirely capable of returning back to their brutal nature.
The whole things really seems like it came straight outta the bible or some shit, and i'm sure you can draw many parallels between the two. Coz duh it's basically where they're getting the inspiration from lol.
This isn't entirely a new info. If you lurk around a bit, chances are you've heard about this whole thing about Agito tapestry before. As i've said above, this whole thing was posted back in 2014 and then it got some more traction within the Western fanbase not too long after.
