Jujutsu Kaisen Discussion Page #1

I thought there was a quote from the author speaking about how what gojo is really doing is slowing down things that comes near him till they completely stop? Isn't that somewhere earlier in the thread?

Yeah, its less actual slowing them now, and more visually slowing down. As in from the perspective of the user their attacks would seem to keep slowing down until they stop as they try to cross the infinite distance created by Gojo infinite space.

How about this?? He can create spaces
This is what I was talking about, looks like I misremembered it though.

Yeah, like me and Everything said, the targets slowing down is only a visual effect of what really would happen if you try to cross something that is right there in front of you but never reaching at the same time

Anyhow, personally unsure of how the two would interact. DCDS was made to cut through to another dimension, which it did in its first ever use. Feel like that could possibly neg what gojo has going on since the attack seems to ignore space more than anything else.

Yeah, that's why I want to know when, I don't think he ever did it in the manga so it would have to happen during the long arc in the anime that is supposed to cover the year or two time skip. I assume.

I have trouble believing his dimension slash would really work, I'm not sure how yami did the feat but if his slash crossed the infinite distance in a short time that would be a massive upgrade to speed wouldn't it?

Not really, as I said, the attack seems more like it ignores space more than anything else.

his slash doesn't need to cross any distance, it is literally a slash that cuts through space, ignoring everything

Cutting space doesn't mean it doesn't cross distance, in fact, the series very clearly shows that it needs to cross the distance between Yami and whatever he's slicing.

but if the space is infinite then he would need to cross it to get to gojo

I think i functions sorta like a hit scan, as long as you're within his magical range as soon as he does the attack it lands. Kinda why it seems that the cut appears the entire distance in an instance

so is it more like how lillie barro doesnt shoot a projectile he just ignores the distance and slashes the spaces?

That's how I think it is, there are no real statements of this, more just how I figure it works from most of its appearances.
