Can Josuke just punch the sword and transmute it into something that won't kill him?

That depends, was the sword forged or was it just created out of thin air? Also, was there ever a point where Wolf didn't have the curse or whatnot that prevents him from dying? If so, Crazy Diamond may be able to restore him to that state, though without prior knowledge he probably wouldn't try that.

Does Wolf have any way to escape if Josuke were to try fusing him with the ground, a rock, a tree, etc?

Josuke can turn the sword into raw materials with a hit, and then Wolf into the ground with the next. Josuke should take it fairly easily.

Just saying, but Wolf appears to be able to interact with CD here. Not by himself, but by using a specific kind of equipment.

I don't think AP matters here when CD doesn't primarily use punching as an ability, thanks to his restoration ability. That ability is very in character for him to use.

I'd rather wait for more input before voting.

CD punches a lot though. And every punch causes matter hax if they land on anything that is not a Stand.
