Jin Mo RI vs. Dave Strider

100 when he first regained his powers. More now

What powers does High 4-C Dave have? His page isn't entirely clear

Mid-Godly Regenerationn, the ability to freeze time, time travel (although he doesn't use it in character), and can create virtually endless time clones.

...

Well then

Maybe once Jin sees him regenerating from everything he could beat him down and weaken him enough to seal him in the Gourd.... but that's his only hope.

Endless time clones overwhelm Jin' clones easily.

Time stop is as useful as always.

Giving it to Dave here, 9/10

To be fair Mid-Godly regen activates if he's ever killed in which it revives him instantly but it doesn't do that on time clones.

Could Dave be knocked unconscious?
Rose punched him unconscious once but that was before they were High 4-c and Dave woke up pretty quickly afterwards. I'd say yes but he doesn't stay down long and it takes a lot to get him there. Back when he was only 9-a he didn't fall unconscious from getting blitzed and beaten down by a 5-b but said 5-b wasn't even trying and Dave was in to much pain to get up immediately.

So probably no

Even if he could be knocked unconscious though, that would only partially increase Jin's chances with the Hwechook, and not enough to turn the tables.

This seems too unfair for Jin.

@Monarch

Didn't you tell me that characters with sufficient Regenerationn can't get knocked out because they'll regenerate the damage to their brain?

It was in Ban vs Metal Bat.

Iirc Dave is being resurrected instead of regenerating, so KO should be possible

Probably bordering on stomp actually. Time stop, infinite clones, Mid-Godly regen, time travel - all of which would almost garauntee Dave the win on their own, but all together just makes it worse. Jin's only hope of winning is somehow knocking Dave around enough that Dave can be absorbed by the gourd before Dave just stops time or summons the clones.

Mid-Godly regen can work differently to normal regen. Even Low regen can fix concussions because its just healing the physical body. Mid-Godly regen doesn't always mean they'll immediately regenerate from normal damage, just that they can come back from being erased. A lot of the time, Mid-Godly regen acts more like Absolute Resurrection

Which reminds me. Does Dave's regen work all the time? If he just has his limbs chopped off and given numerous concussions, will the Mid-Godly regen still happen?

No, Dave's regen only brings him back to life and it only works if his death isn't heroic or just (meaning he died trying to save somebody or was an awful person and deserved it.) Also these advantages are slightly undercut due to him being a teenager like 14 or so. He's not naive he just isn't very experienced.

So Jin can get around the resurrection by smacking him with a Reverse Hwechook a few times to knock him out, then sealing him in the gourd while he's down.

Still going for Dave though, thanks to Time Stop and Time Clones

Dave's Regen only revives him from death immediately after he dies.

Those reasons in particular
