It’s not “subconscious” but more an instinctive reaction. Like how a boxer instinctively blocks punches.Actually that's just for people who start using Aura like Oscar, but it eventually becomes subconscious via training
1. Zero gravity has never been shown to work on anything like aura. Whether that is something like a forcefield, something that may or may not have its own weight. We don’t even know if aura is affected by gravity or if it’s just a projection surrounding the body. You’re making many assumptions about how zero gravity would affect something that has no clear gravity to begin with.1. No I don’t. Weekly is straight incorrect that Aura block touch based abilities. Yes, it works as a forcefield, but as was proven and LITERALLY DEBUNKED in a previous thread, touch based transmutation works on things with Aura. There is never any indication that Aura genuinely blocks hax like abilities due to being a “forcefield”, the only protection is gives is against temperature. You have to PROVE that it would resist something as strange as Zero Gravity. Trying to label it as “a quirk so it’s biological so it gets blocked” is ridiculous. Are you saying that New Order is a biological thing? Quirks aren’t well defined enough for you to claim they just don’t work on Aura.
2. Again? Prove this? Why would it not affect him totally? If he’s attached to the Aura and his aura begins to float, do you just think he won’t go anywhere? Hell his aura shouldn’t be able to do anything here against this in the first place, how would it ever “tank” a hax based ability? We have seen Aura block attacks, there is ZERO reasoning for it to block hax. Zero Gravity is absolutely a meta physical thing, unless you want to biologically explain how the pads on her fingers can literally strip the laws of gravity away from you. And then explain why that wouldn’t work through Aura, which doesn’t protect you whatsoever from abilities such as that.
3. Big advantage how? Sure, his shield is now weightless, but if he ever loses hold of it, which he has done MANY TIMES in his fights, then bye bye shield. Jaune is immobile as hell while Ochako can fly and use objects for ranged attacks. He’s still just a sitting duck that can’t do much. He gets range spammed and can’t touch her cause she’s flying.
????????????????
No one has even given Jaune a win condition yet, just ways for him to not get affected by Zero Gravity. What are you even FRA’ing?
So far the only person with a win con stated is Ochako, who just flies up and uses Zero Satellites to kick his ass. What the hell is Jaune supposed to do against that? Are you trolling?
This is also a lie btw. Nothing on the Aura ability page says it can block touch based hax. We had a literal crt that explained that Aura would not block touch based transmutation. There is zero reason any touch based hax should not work on those with Aura. Aura does not block it, you are assuming that with no evidence. Prove Aura blocks it in the first place and then we can go somewhere, cause being able to be touched through your Aura has already been established in a previous thread.
Also it’s been 3 months and no crt like this has been made, so why even mention it at all unless you were just trying to stall this particular fight or attempt to sway people onto your side with “it WILL be there eventually!” Knowing damn well it won’t or might just get rejected.
To sum things up:
Jaune has no presented win condition.
Ochako’s Quirk works on Jaune unless someone can prove Aura blocks touch based hax abilities.
Claiming something “biological” will be blocked is stupid as hell and meaningless.
No crt for Aura blocking ANY kind of touch based ability has been made or likely will be made. Aura does not block that stuff, as proven in a prior crt.
Does it say that? Haven’t read it. Seems contradictory to what Vol 5 saidNah the gide book says otherwise, it becomes passive via training it to become passive
Not reallyDoes it say that? Haven’t read it. Seems contradictory to what Vol 5 said
We’ve seen times where aura hasn’t been broken and they have been damaged. Sun getting stabbed by Ilya and there being blood. His aura never broke, it was also from behind and he didn’t notice herNot really
Ren: Your body isn't used to this kind of training, not to mention generating a defensive Aura on your own. It takes intense concentration at first, but in time it will become second nature, allowing you to deflect attacks and gradually heal your wounds. After that, you can begin focusing on your Semblance, whatever that may be.
- ren talking about Oscar who is new to having a Aura in vol 5 episode 4
Defense: Demonstrated by Ren in the Emerald Forest and explained by Pyrrha. Aura is mainly used for defensive purposes. Ren used his to block the fangs of a King Taijitu that was attacking him. While users of Aura will not be hurt as long as their Aura is up, they can still feel sensations such as pain and heat.[3] It requires training to always subconsciously have a cloak of Aura on.

My brother, you didn’t address anything I actually said.1. Zero gravity has never been shown to work on anything like aura. Whether that is something like a forcefield, something that may or may not have its own weight. We don’t even know if aura is affected by gravity or if it’s just a projection surrounding the body. You’re making many assumptions about how zero gravity would affect something that has no clear gravity to begin with.
2. “Aura begins to float” prove that aura would float. Use science and prove that a forcefield manifested by a soul has gravity to begin with. You can’t.
There’s a gap between aura and the human body. We have literally seen this in Vol 1. Zero gravity needs to affect that which is touching at the very least, but also we don’t how her quirk would even interact with something like aura to begin with. Hell her quirk has a better chance of making oxygen weightless and sending zero gravity to a person’s lungs than through aura. Seeing how we KNOW oxygen has weight and is affected by gravity, opposed to aura which we cannot confirm does.
3. Weightless shield means it’s easier to maneuver. Have you ever held a shield? A light shield is MUCH more convenient.
Voting Jaune because Ochaco’s main method of attack has no confirmation of working on Jaune and she has a clear limit on how many times she can use her quirk before she becomes immobilized (nauseous).
Animation inconsistency. You know, cause RWBY is a bad show animation wise for a large portion of it? Like how we never see Aura break in multiple cases but characters still get hurt in volume 1? The arguments against and for Aura are tired and used, you are literally behind the times using V1 arguments but then claiming consistency. We’ve seen times where aura hasn’t been broken and they have been damaged. Sun getting stabbed by Ilya and there being blood. His aura never broke, it was also from behind and he didn’t notice her
Actually Sun was tried and his semblance vanished before thatWe’ve seen times where aura hasn’t been broken and they have been damaged. Sun getting stabbed by Ilya and there being blood. His aura never broke, it was also from behind and he didn’t notice her
