I think at the level of Count rank beings is where they can manipulate soul since Sech can make soul to make Rachel

When making this, I was aming for soul/mind/memories aspect at default tbh. Hence the NPI part. Imo when someone targets the specific things like mind and soul, that'll be more enhanced than the default one.

Honestly, I do think Kaito can soul hax someone. Especially since Sympathy magic is implied to force emotions on opponents, that'll default give him a possible soul manipulation. Plus, I do think having magic power itself let's you soul/mind/memory hax someone, normal magic can interact with souls and stuff. And Kaito honestly should be capable of interacting with spirits and such so honestly, I don't see why he wouldn't get it.

Looks like it needs to be fleshed out a little how we treat magic. At a base, I certainly think magic can have NPI/interact with these things, by interacting with souls. When it comes to manipulating them, or using them as an attack perhaps high ranks with their higher magic power becomes manipulation?

Also isn't kaitos sympathy magic something real special? It's even better than Lillie's surface reading isn't it?
 
Oh I certainly did not mean anyone can freely "manipulate" them lol. It was just a term I used.

As for attacks, pretty sure passive NPI solves the problem since the raw magic power itself is spiritual in nature. I meant it like even Kaito's fire ball can soul hax, say, someone like Mahito. It's due to the nature of raw magic power.

but still, i dont think it work, unless we wanna give everyone resistance to soul manipulation solely because each of their magical attacks can harm soul 💀

or maybe it only works if the soul is not in the body
 
I don't think it's a problem to give anyone resistance to soul manipulation lmao. It was more common than you think, heck it's more tame in comparison to say, Tensura lmao. Every single person has CM1 and resistance to CM1.
 
honestly everything become wanky when we have the UES and physiology page

like Isis was supposed to not resist her own passive because, well, a bunch of issue even though logically she should resist her own power

I never saw an issue with her resisting her own power, it sounds silly that lower ranks can resist it and she couldn't. When she has the literal best magic control in the world, and now we know the longer you train magic, the more you can apply a resistance to effects passively.

It was gone over in the thread but this is also what makes weaker mages not have immediate resistance to those type of things. Once u reach high rank it'll become passive.

But yeah I guess marking it as NPI and then put the types works well in peerage holder blog for basic magic?
 
i guess so? Even though it's a bit silly I guess but given that the Magic does equal to a lot of things inverse, so they should, I think

Btw improved the explanation on Kuro's profile, didn't think the previous explanations went into details about her NEP/AE being something which makes her unkillable even in Base Form.
 
Kuro really got her NEP back, it's only matter of time when there's more crazy shit happening as the story progress
 
This series has a tendency to make things we thought of as wank/improbable, become real, like Isis being the literal concept of death, thought that didn't have to evidence to be literal back in the day, but now its an accepted thing.

Also 1-A Epilogue was a dream not too long ago....

Last volume I read they were still in the 6 Kings festival, and I am a volume behind, V15 may finally have Epilogue explanation, which would be neat unlike before, we would just straight make LN Shiro 1-A.

I can't even fathom High 1-A+ Prologue and Epilogue, surely the series won't get that crazy right? Then again you never know, this series started off a 5-B, its had a legendary run so far.

Wasn't it said we are just in part 2 or something? It's been a long time, but pretty sure about this, part 1 was like 662 chapters, part 2 so far is like 1800+ chapters, and there supposedly will be a third part...

This series is going to keep going for years at this rate, I am scared to think how absurd things can get.
 
How many parts is it even supposed to have? And rather than high tier stuff I rather like the fact other things are getting fleshed out like magic, the gods and authorities. Overtime, suddenly is getting more clear

Damn, looking at that makes me happy to start the time I did despite the amount of chapters there was like if there were like 4000+ 5000+ etc chapters I would have lost my will to read.

That's the beauty of the series, there could High 1-A+, or tier 0 characters around, and wouldn't change anything about the story.

But yea will a character appear who is stronger than Shiro? No, the author already said no such character will ever exist, and fighting Shiro is impossible, and even the author doesn't know how to beat her, so they are glad the series isnt a battle shounen.

originally my main issue was this because i thought they werent consistent originally when they portrayed shallow vernal as someone that's purely undefeatable by nature

i feel like im glad its still consistent like that from the last time i read it but yeah i generally wouldnt be mad though if they continue to expand it even if atm it feels like a really good stopping point given you know, most series only clarify their title name when its nearing the end but eh yeah its just like that sometimes
 
It's funny how these series get compared so much when they're so different. Even down to the goals with their Goddesses. One is mostly fighting and action, the other peace with one unbeatable figure whose power is never used.

Yet with the author intentions, they give you opposing answers to their powers. IAP author has no idea how to counter the thing they made, while awlba author knows what the hell they made (and people will question how to beat Alovenus) and gave an answer lol
 
AWLBA had a clear goal of Ruphas confronting Alovenus and beating her, so the scale could only go so high, ISAP is the opposite, there is no overarching goal, it's just us watching the characters living their lives, so anything could happen, it's why 2400+ chapters in, there is no sign of the series ending, pretty much it will only stop when the author gets bored, and even if the author decided they wanted to expand on the God hierarchy and make it even more impressive, it wouldn't feel out of place.

Oddly enough a slice of life format is what allows for the highest scaling possible, because it doesn't matter how powerful the characters are or how big the cosmology is, we are just here to see how Kaito interacts with them, not fight them, Shiro is an unstoppable force, but there is a lot more to her than just being the big bad high tier character.

This reeks of the reddit Epilogue agenda.

Slight correction here though, Shiro didn't killed the poor wyvern because it threatened Kaito, he was never really in danger, she did it cause she was excited Kaito asked her for help lol. Reminds me of the time, she stopped the Sun from setting just to enjoy her time with Kaito.

The most impressive showcases of power come about for the most absurd reasons, like manipulating temporal dimensions to give a gift.... Gods in this verse aren't going around using their power to fight much, but to do things like enjoy dates with Kaito, which is just funny.

Speaking of Shiro, reminds me I should expand on The Epilogue explanation a little, it's already pretty blatant but the stuff about The Epilogue being like a real person who watches a tv, and can turn it off, is cool enough to add.
