Reading more into the comic, seems like the main antagonist's goal is to open a pathway to the "real world" (Which is where these askers reside)
Does this change anything?

Is there any evidence proving they could realistically do that? If so then they may be able to get dimensional travel

I guess so.

But let's say that one of the "real world" residents is a villain, who sees their world as a videogame and uses game avatars to interact with the other characters, and lets say these characters manage to beat them by overheating their PC? This give anything?

That could give several powers but we need more info
The closest character with a profile I can think of is The Animator from Animator vs. Animation with him using the mouse cursor to interact with the sentient stickmen inside his computer

Is the data part of a smaller system like a computer/book in the higher perspective?
The character from the real world interact with this multiverse with their computer, but the computer's destruction doesn't affect their multiverse
The multiverse is still called a simulation and made of data tho
