Is A Call Beyond from Bloodborne, FTL?

I just started thinking about this. A Call Beyond opens up a rift that leads to outer space. You see stars in the distance, and their angular size is smaller than the Sun. So that should mean they're extremely far away, but the energy harnest from them reaches their target in seconds. Shouldn't this be FTL?
