Instant Death Discussion Thread

Do you happen to know if characters with transformations that raise them a tier but do not add any abilities need to have a key?
 
Light Novel authors seem to have a weird liking to boosting the abilities of the characters exponentially as the end of the series aproaches, so perhaps. 4 volumes and we still have 2 seals to go and Yogiri's existence is still vague.
 
I think it has to do a lot with powerful fights/power escalation being a big part of shounen culture/entertainment...and the fact that it's more tricky to portray those things in a text format.
 
Its exactly because its in text format that it has those big sudden power ups at the end the authors are freely to add words and other things to give depth to how much they want to show the characters are, if you have something like a manga for example its unlikely you will get anywhere near the kind of sudden powerlevel you see in texts, unless its something like comics that there are bubbles that they use for that, and some mangas also have some few pages to do add to the context but thats it

Does Riona's gift that multiplies all of her abilities by 10,000 meet the Multipliers requirements? Asking since it might be able to be used to scale other characters like Ayaka.
 
Did we even see it in action or anything that could make it reliable? I dont remember right now, but so far the verse was pretty explicit into not giving powers that arent what they are told to be or even stronger so maybe...
 
Well, in base she was throwing rocks at Ayaka that turned other people it hit into splashes of blood and she seems to be confident in her physical combat being better than her ranged combat. Uh, I think she also scales to the Hero that shook the castle with his swings when he tried to kill Lain since Heroes are roughly equivalent Sage Candidates but for a sword saint. The feat were she punches Ayaka across the city was calculated and accepted, dividing it by 10,000 (the multiplier she had) gives Small Building level results (381,487,785.5 joules)

So they're around the same ballpark.

I am mainly asking because if the multiplier is valid her speed would be multiplied by 10,000 which should put her at MHS+ assuming she is baseline subsonic, Yuuki Tachibana and Ayaka would scale above it.

This girl has a really broken stat amp lmfao. Im not even sure if it would be possible to make versus matches for her...
 
Too bad she got oofed by Ayaka without actually displaying much. Rank 10 of her ability would have been a 10,000,000,000 times power up, kek.

Until we discover ayaka actually was able to copy powets from system later on including the stats amp from riona, not spoiler but this verse has some really crazy stuff that i wouldnt discard it at all
 
I dunno why I have the feeling that Ayaka is gonna end up getting stomped by Sion after she kills more Sage Candidates.

I mean, she does have power mimicry via consuming stuff and analyzing it in her dimensional storage, that is how she can conceptuallize the whole Dragon thing she has going on.

She kinda stomped Riona once she got serious in ther fight.

True, but Ayaka got uncounscious for a moment after tanking the first blow
 
She did not even expect the blow iirc, she could not even percieve it due to having her guard down but she could periceve all of the folllowing attacks. She was under the impression of the last time they fought which was an Ayaka that was 100 times weaker.

But I am working on the Ayaka profile so it would be good if we could come to a reasonable conclusion for her rating.
 
Well, yes.

Although tbh it does not make much sense considering that her mind is a virtual thing that is located on her subspace and contussion effects are merley simulated, so K.O. via a physical punch should not have been possible.

Her fists did not have much effect afterwards either.

Riona attempted another strike with her left fist.

"Dragon Tail." (Ayaka)

Her invisible dragon tail constricted itself around Riona's body. Her attack ended with nothing even happening.

Ayaka stood up and looked down at Riona.

"I guess I'll just slowly strangle you to death like this." (Ayaka)

Ayaka felt that there was no point to drawing this fight out any further if she couldn't even resist Dragon Tail.

If this was the extent of the power that her classmates held, it didn't seem like dealing with all of them would be very troublesome.

Ayaka was a little disappointed.


Uh, what about 'At least Multi City Block level+, likley Small CIty level?
 
Tbf, I think this is a "Boros vs Saitama situation"

7-B Boros was capable of tossing Saitama around, even tho Saitama was leagues above him (and he didnt receive any damage)
 
I see, I can certainly see that being the case considering that at the end of the day Ayaka was both, unharmed and dissapointed.

Another thing I've been wondering is if levels can be used to scale characters. (i.e Sion being over 1,000 times stronger than Higashida via levels so she scales to Island level)
