Doesn't Octavio's killer wail instakill the protag? Been a while since I've played but I know the multiplayer one definitely does.

Yes but at the same time he can tank his own mech blowing up, you can hurt him with your guns and with physical attacks, and you can launch his own projectiles back at him hard enough to damage the mech

Also regular weapons can slightly damage shields like the Bubbler, which can tank a normal Killer Wail without breaking

Okay, just replayed the fight, it doesnt actually oneshot you but it does kill you very quickly if you stand in it, as in if youre in it for like a second it kills you

Consistent with other weapons that can splat Inklings in a comparable amount of time

Mmmmmmmexcusemewhatnow
I added that as it´s via the Respawn Point the soul goes to when the body explodes, which can even be done manually (As we can see when Inkling can explode when just falling)

Actually...hmm...you do see the inkling's soul float away when they get splatted...

But respawning is game mechanics. If they weren't that would imply that death doesn't exist in the Splatoon world as everyone would just rewspawn.

They do kill one another all the time in turf wars and stuff.

I still don't agree with scaling absolutely everything to killer wail though. Will explain why in a bit.

Even the Squid Sisters have talked about this stuff.

They technically "die", but the machine known as the "Respawn Point" simply makes another body for them.

Don't they also talk about stuff like draw distance?

They dissolve into nothing if they fall into water, and when they get splatted you literally see their soul floating away which regenerates into an Inkling a few seconds later, and this is actually supported by the lore

Also, not everything is scaled to the Killer Wail, the only things that are are the Special Weapons, everything else is weaker than it

Should we also include their gear abilities as well? Like Ninja Squid as an example? I know Ninja Squid isn't the only gear ability they have. I was just giving out an example.

Yeah, ive already got a full list of their gear abilities and their weapons ready to go

You seem to be implying scaling the rest of Octavio's stuff to KW. All the specials scaling besides grenade rush makes sense to me, but I don't think Octavio having KW scales to anything else besides specials and stuff.

@Wok No, Octavio's Killer Wail is explicitly weaker than the normal Killer Wail (As evidenced by the fact that it doesnt instantly oneshot).

Inklings can break barriers that can tank a direct Killer Wail with their normal weapons given a short amount of time

Weekly, can you please change the name of the page to just "Inkling"? Putting it in plural still seems weird.

Anyways, is out there a calc or something to justify the "+" value on the Low 7-B part? I don´t see it anywhere in the AP description.
