inFAMOUS Second Son upgrades to speed

Okay so Delsin and Fetch are listed as having supersonic reaction speed and light speed travel speed because they can turn into neon (plus delsin and eugene can travel through radio waves). Shouldn't Delsin and Fetch have Speed of Light reaction because:

1. They can obviously react to their own travel speed

2. both fetch and delsin have fired neon energy at each other. Shouldn't they scale to each other and shouldn't the other conduits in second son scale to them?

Would anyone from the previous inFAMOUS games scale? iirc vampire cole's travel ability was very similar to Delsin jumping from radio waves.
 
Would probably go to their attack and reaction speed. Not sure about combat speed, maybe for Fetch.

Can't really use FoB since it's non-canon to the series. However, it could probably go to the Beast, since he is historically he strongest Conduit, and he is the one that activated Augustine's powers. Should also scale to RFI Cole, since he did curb stomp the Beast once empowered.

I recall a move where Delsin used Neon to literally run circles and blitz someone as a Good Karma restraining move iirc, would that count as combat speed?
 
I'm glad you guys are discussing this. Cause now that Cole and John are upgraded, I'll be posting a new thread for the lower tiers, which includes speed.

PTSOXMONKEY99, I thought FoB was technically a retcon to make it fit as a side story inside inFAMOUS 2? I haven't played it in a long time so I don't remember the exact details of the story but I assume sucker punch considered it canon. First light is most definitely a prequel to second son so I don't see why we couldn't consider FoB canon.
 
Well the authenticity of the story is put into question at the end of the DLC, where Zeke admits that he may have made up certain parts of his tale to make it seem more exciting. Meaning that all of the events may be made up.
 
Also, assuming the neon feats don't scale to anyone outside of inFAMOUS second sun, wouldn't cole's lightning storm/ ionic storm be a Relativistic feat? Cole literally summons lightning from the sky and in the first game, he can actually manipulate the direction of the bolt and move it so that's something, right?
 
lol oh yeah I forgot about Zeke telling the story. Ahhhh man I miss Zeke. His betrayal in the first game and his redemption throughout the story was great. I need an inFAMOUS 3 so badly. I'll even take an infamous second son 2 at this point lol.
 
Well, no. It actually does scale to people outside of Second Son. As they should be comparable or superior to them. However, it only scales to reactions. They're combat speed is still Massively Hypersonic+ and their movement speed Supersonic+ to Hypersonic. The rating will probably be Relativistic+ or higher.

This speed upgrade would only apply to Delsin and Fetch' combat speed and reactions. And for everyone else, it's only reactions.
 
Also, there is a chance Cole will return next game along with Zeke.

understood. In regard to Delsin, should a note be made that his combat speed is only SoL when he uses neon? Cuz I think it can be argued that he can react to Fetch's neon attacks when he's using smoke for example, but his combat speed should only be SoL with the use of neon. Then again, wouldn't Eugene's Video manipulation be considered Speed of Light too? He does fire pixels through the air.

edit: that would be so cool. inFAMOUS and Prototype are such good franchises, I miss them.

Anyway, to sum it up:

Everyone gets Relativistic+ or higher reactions

Delsin and Fetch get Speed of Light movement and combat speed with Neon, and likely Speed of Light reactions with Laser Focus, as it slows down their perception of time.

I think it is SoL. Eugene and Delsin are essentially firing electromagnetic waves through the air but they take on a hard light form per Eugene's profile:

As a master of Video, he has the ability to absorb artificial light and use it to create Hard-light Projections, basically holograms with a solid form.

Plus they can travel through radio waves from satellites so I think it's logical to say that Video = Neon in speed but if that's still not the case please let me know.

Regarding Eugene: it says he has matter manipulation but isn't he also a reality warper of sorts? He can pull people into a video world.

Yeah, Eugene does have Matter Manipulation. He can turn people and objects into code and data and bring them into his pocket dimension, as well as reconstitute them back in reality easily. I don't know if he can shape them into whatever form they want, but he likely should be able to.

In fact, he should, as he can literally transform his body into He Who Dwells.
 
Eugene should atleast have Reality Manipulation if he's in a Video world since he was able to create one if his He Who Dwells boss fight is concerned, if I recall. And agreed on Neon = Video being roughly the same in speed in all honesty.

And honestly, InFamous Second Son 2 would be baller since um.. SS is the only InFamous game I've played at this point xD though would it be technically more correct if it was called InFamous Third Son? I kid~
 
Well. The next game will be inFAMOUS: Revenant, focusing on Cole's return. Likely a prequel to Second Son. And the next one will likely be him meeting Delsin and the others, as they deal with Celia taking control of the DUP.

The title for that one will probably be something like "Second Age".

Second Age sounds pretty cool in all honesty. Would be really sweet if they added those rejected/unused Glass and Wire powers for Delsin. The concept art for those looked amazing despite how.. weird they sounded at first xD
 
Daaamn, that's sick and the Quiz did have some pretty interesting powers in all honesty. Like Street/Asphalt and the Masonry, though more interested in seeing the latter since it's described to be a more defensive version of Concrete and can make shapes/constructs.
 
That could be cool if done right tbh, Second Son could let you vaporize civies if you're Evil enough and Festival of Blood is a thing soo
 
I was also talking about the comic series. Where David Warner rips dudes in half, spines and everything. And vaporizes dude down to their skeletons.
