Yeah I don't think sans can detect him from that far. Magneto can. Tears sans to shreds using the trace metal in bones and sans can't really do a thing about it.

Is more the fact that he can't fight Magneto without being within range of his powers, which means he instantly dies because Magneto can just manipulate the iron in his bones and shred him.
