Not to be super-nitpicky, but is it established somewhere in Tolkien's canon writings that Eru Iluvatar does, in fact, have Type 5 ("perfect") immortality, as we would consider it to be in this community? Was it ever explicitly stated that literally nothign can ever kill him? What if a more powerful or equally powerful being erased his entire existence, or the concept of his existence? Do we have any evidence that he would or could recover from that?
If someone can come up with a quote establishing that, then that works to establish the claim of Type 5 Immortality, but as far as I am aware such a degree of immortality on Iluvatar's part was never established in Tolkien's works.
If that's the case, shouldn't we revise his Immortality to be "Immortality (Types 1 and 4)," i.e. immortality by longevity (agelessness) and immortality by Godhood?
