How strong would a gamma ray burst be considered?

Well, we'd need a picture or something to go off of. A single gamma ray held for 0.000001 seconds isn't going to kill anyone (which is why we're able to do X-Rays). A gamma ray explosion the size of a nuclear bomb air blast might be something worth looking at.

Gamma-ray bursts are not your typical gamma rays.

Again, they'd be in the High 4-C to 4-B range, to my knowledge.
