How durable can large aircraft get?

Like airliners, cargo planes, bombers, and airships, but it'll also help me determine if I should bump down the durability of bombers like B-17 down to Wall level or keep them where they are.
 
It depend of the metal of what is made. Personally, I wouldn't qualify the durability of vehicles with energy, since they are made of material, you use bulk/tensil properties, any other specification (like heat resistance) it also count.
 
I agree, material should be more important, but we do not seem to have a standard format for vehicle profiles, the closest, according to the last thread, was the format for weapon profiles, but I do not recall that thread being concluded.

EDIT: That's also why I had trouble thinking about a reasoning for the vehicle's durability besides "it is this large".
