Homura vs Natsu Dragneel

Fair enough.

Natsu rage power amps his power significantly, it may get around that. Also, her weakness is kinda easy to exploit tho.

Unless it were to put him ridiculously above her in AP it's not getting past.

Natsu has been training since a very young age under Igneel, entered the guild not much time after Igneel disappeared, in which he could take missions that involved fighting monsters, and fought against every member of the guild (even though he was constantly stomped by the tier 7 guys).

As we see in their spar after the Lulluby arc (one of the first arcs of the story), Natsu is comparable to Erza even after she equipped the "lol flamesdon'taffectme" armor. He fears her mainly for her personality and "respect" not because she's that strong compared to him (she's stronger, but not THAT much).

Also, rage power

Homura has been training since a very young age under Rin, the primary thing they're trained for is fighting giant monsters of which she has killed several, and she has fought every other character in her series at least once. If you don't feel like checking I'll just let you know that there is quite the wide variety of fighting styles, weaponry, and special abilities all across the board.

Also, rage power

Feel free to correct me but Homura doesn't seem like the type he'd be angry at right out the gate. Maybe once they get going and he sees how outclassed skillwise he is but her immunity to being staggered should help with that at least a little.

While Homura is more skilled fighter here, Natsu isn't a pushover either. He fought a trained assassins dark mage, someone who can literally hear his mind, a dark guild Master, and this motherf***er.
Natsu resistance to fire obviously giving him an edge here, basically making her fire manip useless. Telekinesis? Natsu deals with it on Daily basis in form of Erza. Stats amps? Natsu can boosts his power drastically when he pissed.

Homura can hurts him by punches, kicks, and slashes. But she has to deal with Natsu DS Magic in order to do that. She can try stealth, but Natsu enhanced smell and hearing can counter that.

Overall, I will give this to Natsu Mid-diff. Homura slight superior skills can only delayed the inevitable before Natsu beat her via spamming long range attacks.
Natsu didn't defeat Jellal on his own. He had to eat a chunk of rock empowered by etherion to defeat him. He was getting his ass kicked beforehand.

Erza doesn't really have that great of a telekinesis since she just chucks swords at her opponents, which is limited to one armor.

I don't understand how his DS magic will help him against someone that's not even a dragon in the first place.

I'm pretty sure Natsu does a lot more close range attacks than long range.

Erza was able to use her telekinesis as one her 1st spells in the ToH revolt

His DS magic can essentially create flames all over his body, she runs the risk of getting burned if she attemps to attack him

Natsu's attacks have a lot of AoE(Roar,Sword Horn,Gleaming Flare,Brillant Flame,Talon/Claw,Wingbeat)

Most of their arguments seem to be based on the assumption that Natsu is around her skill level in terms of combat and that he'll be able to consume her fire to get stronger. But it seems to me like she outclasses him in skill by quite a bit, not to mention her main method of attack is with swords and not fire. She only uses fire if she feels like she needs to and even if she were to use it, the moment she sees he can eat it she's going to stop trying it. She's not an idiot (at least not in terms of fighting).

Natsu is not that behind in terms of skill. Everything Homura has done was done by Natsu, too, and while it's true she's more skilled than him, it's not enough to change the outcome of the fight. And Natsu is used to fight swords woman thanks to Erza, so it's near detrimental.

Why would Natsu be fighting Erza on a daily basis for years? And again doesn't he always lose? At least at this point (the beginning) of the series.

AS is right here,Homura is not idiot.

If i'm the OP,i will immideately close this because i don't want Natsu win.

We know he sparred several times with her, and gets stomped only in comedic reliefs
Ok so does he ever draw with or even beat her at the beginning of the series? If all we see is him getting stomped I'm pretty sure we have to assume that's what happens.

Small note: this Natsu isn't start series, he's actually half series.

Again, in the Lullaby arc, that is the 2,3 arc of the story, Natsu was giving troubles to Erza despite the fact that she was physically stronger and equipped an armor that made her resistant to fire

@Triforce that was never shown at all. They only had a little sparring match, and even then, it was cut short before they could do any real damage.

They weren't even fighting at their full power. There's barely anything in that fight that shows that Erza was having a hard time fighting Natsu.

She wasn't able to land a hit as she had to dodge his attacks and Natsu was shown to be capable of dodging her attacks. And the simple fact that Erza equipped the Flame empress armor shows that she wasn't holding back

That's not even her most powerful armor. And again, they weren't even able to fight with their full power cause the fight was cut short.
