Higanbana speed of light?

the spirits in higanbana are presented as wavelength, the spirits need to change their own wavelength when they manifest in the human world, does not this affect their speed? wavelength is vague, but how can they manipulate the will this, speed could not be upgraded from subsonic to light speed with hax?
