It doesn't say anything about being Non Canon.Kowt said:http://www.dragonfable.com/gamedesignnotes/a-time-for-everything-4906Here, Ash said that Avatar of Time class was just a cool looking special offer class.
Hero: OK. Fair point. Hero: Let's get back to Kimberly and find a way out of this place.ProfessorLord said:How is that immeasurable speed?
Sounds like toonforce, which is already on his profile.DnW0 said:Hero: OK. Fair point.ProfessorLord said:How is that immeasurable speed?
Hero: Let's get back to Kimberly and find a way out of this place.
Cysero: Why don't you just /join somewhere else?
Hero: Stop that. It ruins the story. Let's go.
- kind of implies that the /join function is something that the Hero of Lore isn't restricted from using in the storyline
Yes, because there is literally no metric for its basis other than an item description. It has not demonstrated any of its power whatsoever. Furthermore it's coming from a known source where the developers and authors love to put their gags and jokes.Hykuu said:Professor, would sort of game wouldn't let you fight a enemy? "u got power of star so u destroy planet"
this is literally a game mechanic by definition, its done like that to make the game actually playable
this is like saying a RPG item, which has the descrpition of being able to destroy the universe, being invalid because it doesn't destroy it ingame.
having the Lightcaster class has nothing to do with being able to fight an enemyHykuu said:" would sort of game wouldn't let you fight a enemy? "u got power of star so u destroy planet"

let's not, since classes play pretty much zero role in how the storyline goes, it's better to just include them allKowt said:I suggest that we should treat only rep classes(AQW) and story linked classes(DF) as canon. Special offer classes are just the $$$.
we're probably not going to include the immeasurable thing, but the abilities of those classes are totally valid because they don't specify on AP or anythingKowt said:For example, immeasurable speed doesn't seem very consistent to me.
Of course they don't, i was trying to say not every descrpition for every AQ class or Item is a joke, it doesn't make them Invalid because the Majority are, Dude, you can tell if something is a joke or not, and I don't think you realize i was referring to RPGs who don't demonstrate it.ProfessorLord said:Item descriptions of other verses do not use witty jokes and banter within their descriptions, so it makes it really easy for them to scale off of. Furthermore they also tend to, you know, demonstrate that the descriptions are actually true. False equivalency.
I don't know what this immeasureable speed argument is now but I'm sure its more fallacious wank. We only go by what characters have acknowledged or have demonstrated. Item descriptions seem to be inconsistent, at least in AQW.
I can't show you proof of it not hitting with the force of a sun. You need to show me that it does.
But if we accepted those classes' abilities, wouldn't we be accepting everything the descriptions say?DnW0 said:we're probably not going to include the immeasurable thing, but the abilities of those classes are totally valid because they don't specify on AP or anythingKowt said:For example, immeasurable speed doesn't seem very consistent to me.
Ok, in Destiny Dreg can harm and tank attacks from you, and you can destroy Atheon, who governs a trillion timelines.DnW0 said:we're probably not going to include the immeasurable thing, but the abilities of those classes are totally valid because they don't specify on AP or anythingKowt said:For example, immeasurable speed doesn't seem very consistent to me.
