Hero Killer vs God Killer

Perhaps because I wanted to and can very well comment whatever I please, Kachon.
Sure. I can't stop you from commenting, but saying that while responding to a DTG's valid argument made it seem as you believed that low-mid would allow him to regen from Garou's radiation.

I never implied that. I was simply asserting that regeneration inherently involves recuperating cells, which DTG seemed to not believe. I even said that this would only go so far in accordance with the damage the cells have been shown to recuperate from;
How well the cells can recuperate depends on the damage they take.
So no I never implied Low-Mid that does not have feats would be capable of countering Garou's radiation.

Sorry, misquoted lol

But yeah, both his P&A section and his World Ender form list his ability to resurrect from lethal damage

Speed is equalized is it not? His travel speed would be the same as everything else. But unequalized his travel speed is MHS+
According to the rules

Speed Equalization Rules and Assumptions

Per default the following rules and assumptions will be taken if a match takes place in a speed equalized setting:

  • The combat speed of that faster character is assumed to be equalized to the combat speed of the slower character. Every other speed the faster character has is reduced by the same multiplier. This includes the speed of any attacks, projectiles, reactions, perception, flight etc.
    • Speed Amplification techniques are assumed to grant the same percentile of increase to a character's equalized speeds, as they would to their usual speeds.
  • Any speed equalized match, in which a major reason a character loses is due to having a disadvantage against some speed value they usually wouldn't have a disadvantage against, may not be added to profiles.
    • As a result, winning a speed equalized match against a faster opponent due to a speed boost so large that it blitzes the opponent will not be added.
    • Matches in which characters with Immeasurable speed lose against not-immeasurable passive abilities would likewise not be added, as the Immeasurable characters would normally be faster than the instantaneous passives.
    • While time stop, which could be viewed as an infinite speed amplification, is assumed to work even on characters that would usually bypass it via speed, those matches can likewise not be added.
  • Abilities based on speed are assumed to be retained. Characters that can run over water via speed can, for example, still do so even if now technically too slow for that. Likewise, a character who can create a tornado by running fast in a circle can still create one by this manner, even though they are now running slower.
    • As a result, Immeasurable characters that get speed equalized retain their ability to travel through time, even if it now isn't via speed anymore.
The rules note that travel speed is not included in speed equalization rules.

So if MCU Captain Marvel fought John Wick, her combat speed would be reduced to his level but she still has MFTL+ travel speed.

I don't know what the context is for this thread, but for the sake of whatever argument there is, speed equalized does not effect travel speed under the current rules.

Fair enough, though Aatrox would have MHS+ travel speed so it wouldnt be an issue as the question was whether or not Aatrox is fast enough to recover from being physically BFRedvia travel speed

Afaik it would only come into effect under our BFR rules
Victory Conditions: Death of the opponent, removing the opponent from the battlefield for at least one week (BFR), knocking the opponent out for at least one hour, or incapacitating the opponent by putting him in a state in which he can not harm the other fighter(s) for over a day, are to be assumed as victory conditions.
For a reference since it can be hard to grasp
  • Minimum MHS+ distance value: 207,446,400,000 meters (About 1/3rd of the distance between Earth and Jupiter)
  • Maximum MHS+ distance value: 1.813145e+12 meters (A little over the distance between Earth and Saturn)
If the BFR goes longer than those distances, the travel speed value would mean the other party could win with that method.

Aye, plus Aatrox has interstellar attack range, so BFR via physical means wouldnt be useful anyways

Apologies for not posting the list, work ran long last night and I completely forgot about this thread, I promise to post it later

In the meantime though, are we past the arguments of garou winning via radiation and bfr? Aatrox's regen, healing, and resurrection would counter the radiation while his movement/flight speed and interstellar and interdimensional range would counter Garou's two methods of bfr

We aren't in agreement about the radiation stuff at all, I see no reason as to why low-mid regen would counter radiation that outright killed characters with higher regeneration.

Until you post that extraordinary skill set that somehow will work against Garou (who will likely just adapt or outright copy and improve) Garou just skillstomps the vessel and wins.

Because aatrox's regen is faster than Zombieman's and it allows him to resurrect himself if he dies, on top of having passive magic-based self healing

I will be posting this yes

Also, as for his adaptation and copying, does gsrou have feats of copying higher-dimensional stuff? Because aatrox's magic is higher-dimensional. Also, again, bold to claim that garou's comprehension and adaptation abilities are superior to the voidborn that aatrox fought against for millenia

Whose the voidborn and how strong are their adaptation abilities, for reference?

Whose the voidborn and how strong are their adaptation abilities, for reference?
Helello posted the blog but for clarification they're beings that are conceptually nonexistent and their capacity to evolve is to the point that they can evolve to conceptually exist even though it breaks every law of physical reality. Anything they consume they gain all the powers and traits of, and any voidborn with the ability to project void energy automatically absorbs all information about the things they fight or attack, including inanimate objects, if they are in proximity of their energy, and does so on a conceptual level even for things as abstract as the laws of time and the arcane geometry that governs reality.

And aatrox fought against entire armies of these things in a several thousand year long war, so beings with garou's level of adaptability and comprehension capabilities are not something new to him, on the contrary he has an excess amount of experience fighting people like garou

How can you prove that these armies have the same kind of adaptability as Garou?

Okay, so this isnt the full list but its what i have to post atm so it can be discussed in the meantime. will post the rest later, but these are all people that Aatrox is canonically significantly more skilled than:

Yasuo is the only swordsman in a century who was able to master the Wind Technique, which is a sword style that works by making cuts and thrusts so precise with your sword that you directly manipulate wind currents to the point of being able to create tornadoes with a swing of your sword, and despite being completely nonmagical it is indistinguishable from actual magic. Yasuo is more skilled than Master Yi, who has dozens of years of experience in the art of Wuju, and even before Yi mastered Wuju he was considered one of the most skilled practitioners of the martial art. Wuju Style requires an immense amount of patience and strategy, centered around analyzing the opponent for any openings or weaknesses before killing them with a single cut. Yi has been described as never attacking until landing a strike on his opponent was absolutely guaranteed. Master Yi is more skilled than Lee Sin, a master of all of Ionia's martial arts who is able to fight completely blind just by using his hearing, and just by listening to the movement and breathing of three men was able to determine that one had the early symptoms of lung disease, one had a weak heart that would give out in less than a year, and one had an injured spine that forced him to walk slightly more on his left side.

Lee Sin is more skilled than Shen, a master ninja who has been trained since childhood in the art of ninjutsu in and combat analysis in order to take up the mantle of the Eye of Twilight. Everything that his students Akali and Kennen can do, he can do better, as well as having the ability to automatically react to attacks due to his energy in the spirit realm protecting his body in the physical realm by automatically making him dodge even if he isnt aware of an incoming attack. His skill in combat analysis is such that, while in a crowded, busy ballroom, Shen was able to instantly deduce that his target was half a finger length too far way for him to be able to attack the moment he saw him, despite the latter being in a disguise and a master of stealth attempting to avoid detection.

Shen is more skilled than Akali, a master assassin, having been trained to kill since the moment she was able to walk. Having been personally trained to use shurikens by Kennen, personally trained in the ninja arts, stealth, and subterfuge by Shen, as well as developing her own fighting style of emphasizing speed and agility over strength and becoming a master of the kama and kunai. Her skill is so great that she succeeded her mother as the Fist of Shadow when she was only a teenager, and despite not possessing any innate supernatural abilities like Shen and Kennen she was considered just as deadly as them. She has knowledge of over 300 pressure points on the human body and how to exploit all of them, and can do so offhandedly from across a room that is obscured with a thick smokescreen.

Akali is more skilled than Xin Zhao, a master spear wielder, world renowned for having never lost a one-on-one fight in his life. Hyper-analytical and hyper-observant, even at an early age his skill with a spear was quickly noticed by the Noxian commander who owned him, earning him a spot as a Reckoner due to his martial prowess and rapidly elevating him to fame in gladiatorial combat. On the battlefield Xin Zhao's skill only shined brighter, having singlehandedly killed several hundred Demacian soldiers and only being halted by an entire battalion of the Dauntless Vanguard engaging him all at once, with many of the members of the Vanguard were silently impressed by his skill. He is also highly skilled in hand to hand combat, having disarmed and incapacitated two of King Jarvan III's personal guard, who by his own admission had undergone decades of brutal training to reach their positions, as well as Sword Captain Tianna Crownguard, the leader of the Dauntless Vanguard, as a demonstration of his skill. After becoming Jarvan III's seneschal he achieved feats such as fighting through an army of Freljordian warriors several hundred strong with only Jarvan III as backup and mastering wielding Drakebane, an ancient lance so lethal to wield that in unskilled hands it was as deadly to its wielder as to the enemy, with no prior knowledge of how to wield it as the secrets of how to fight with it had been lost for centuries, and later going on to train Jarvan IV to wield it at a master level. He has also shown a high level of proficiency in dual wielding, able to casually avoid and parry the attacks of an enraged Jarvan IV while wielding a spear and a dulled training sword.

Xin Zhao is more skilled than Jarvan IV, a highly intelligent individual, having been given the finest Demacian education available since he was a child, learning from Demacia's finest historical scholars and tutored in the ways of ruling a kingdom, as well as being personally tutored in the history and politics of Valoran by Xin Zhao, who also taught him about the world’s more spiritual philosophies, as well as the myriad arts of war. He is skilled with a variety of weapons, though his preferred is his lance Drakebane, an ancient lance so lethal to wield that in unskilled hands it was as deadly to its wielder as to the enemy, which he wields with the skill of a master, with even Xin Zhao, his mentor who taught him everything he knew about how to wield the lance in the first place and who had been training in the use of pole-arms and other similar weaponry and who learned how to wield Drakebane from scratch, acknowledging that Jarvan's skill with the weapon far exceeded his own. At the age of 18 Jarvan was awarded the honorary rank of general, leading him to pursue a career on the battlefield, securing numerous victories and quickly growing a respectable reputation as a general, leading from the front lines and able to rally his troops even against impossible odds, such as his small, exhausted, and injured battalion which had barely survived a Noxian ambush going on to help Shyvana kill her mother, a fire elemental dragon.

Jarvan is more skilled than Garen, a highly skilled combatant and strategist, widely considered to be one of the greatest swordsmen in Demacia, having trained non-stop from the age of twelve in the art of combat and war and quickly gaining a fearsome reputation on the battlefield. By the time he turned eighteen he had already served in multiple campaigns, fighting off Freljordian barbarians, mages, and the Noxian military, which granted him a nomination as a member of the Dauntless Vanguard, a position he won with ease through his sheer courage and skill. His skill was so well recognized by the rest of the Vanguard that of the over two thousand members [each being a legendary hero in their own right, the most skilled and well trained soldiers in Demacia, masters of multiple weapons, and boasting extensive knowledge of battle tactics and warfare on top of having accomplished extraordinary feats such as singlehandedly slaying dragons and wyrms, outmatching entire hosts of the Trifarian Legion, and being able to take on entire armies on their own and emerge victorious] he was chosen to be the new Sword-Captain after the previous leader had died, a decision that was unopposed by any member of the Vanguard. As a member of the Dauntless Vanguard, Garen is a master of battlefield strategy, able to communicate entire combat plans to other members of the Vanguard through nothing but subtle eye and facial movements, as well as perceive other members' strategies given in the same manner through just peripheral vision, and doing so at a speed described as blindingly fast by people less trained than them. He is also hyper-observant, as all members of the Vanguard are required to master the art of observation of every aspect of the battlefield as well as potential changes that could be made both within and outside of their line of sight at any given moment and identify what their enemy is observing and how they can potentially advance.

Garen is more skilled than the Trifarian Legion, the elite Noxian military force and the most prestigious warriors the empire could produce, and that hold a reputation known throughout Valoran, even among those who had never fought beside or against them, and are so feared that just two legionaries could take over an entire city. Each member of the Legion is personally trained by Darius, a highly skilled military strategist and combatant whose his fearsome notoriety is so widely recognized even in the lands beyond Noxus that it is not uncommon for entire cities to surrender at the first sight of his banners. Having served in the Noxian warhost since he was 12, Darius has spent most of his life fighting in numerous grueling campaigns of conquest from one end of the known world to the other, as well as crushing a number of rebellions against the throne. As he rose steadily through the ranks he garnered a great respect for his aggression, discipline, and refusal to ever take a backward step, even going so far as beheading a Noxian general after he ordered a retreat, rallying the scattered warbands and winning a great and unexpected victory against a far more numerous foe.

As he rose steadily through the ranks he garnered a great respect for his aggression, discipline, and refusal to ever take a backward step, even going so far as beheading a Noxian general after he ordered a retreat, rallying the scattered warbands and winning a great and unexpected victory against a far more numerous foe.
99% of these people are superhumans at most that would probably get their teeth kicked in by even Human Garou.

This in no way justifies Aatrox being even on the same league as Cosmic Fear Garou at all, it's just vague "oh these are very skilled people and Aatrox is supposed to be better than them"

Even if he somehow is this skill god on par with geniuses like Garou, what stops Garou from copying him and improving his techniques? what stops Garou RE to go from being comparable in speed to a blitz in miliseconds? what stops his organ pulverizing durability negation attacks from outright killing the vessel? what stops Garou from deflecting every Aatrox slash back into him? Nothing.

Again, voting Garou because he skill stomps the vessel and only loses if he is stupid enough to pick up the sword.

For one, I would love to hear what garou has in comparison

For two, this is literally a fraction of the skill feats that I cobbled together in a few minutes, this is not a complete list

I love how you keep saying Garou skill stomps without actually providing anything on par with the post Weekly provided like a goon.

How does the more skilled than X stuff works, like is there a canon rating for skill level of each character?
For some verses yes, for other verses its entirely dependent on feat portrayal. LoL is the latter, but it falls into the same category as verses like Warhammer where the writers make it constantly and painfully clear who is more skilled than who via the feats in their fights.

For example:
Xin Zhao glanced up. Jarvan glowered down at him, heavy training sword still in hand. He had no good way to answer, to say all that he felt.

“I failed him,” he said at last. “And I failed you.”

Jarvan stood for a moment longer before turning and striding to one of the many weapon racks arranged around the room.

“Rise,” Jarvan ordered.

As Xin Zhao did, the prince threw him a sword. He caught it reflexively in his off-hand, still holding his spear in his right. It was another training blade, heavy and blunted. Then Jarvan was coming at him, swinging hard.

Xin Zhao jumped backward, avoiding the blow.

“My lord, I don’t think this is—” he began, but his words were cut off as Jarvan lunged at him again, thrusting his sword at his chest. Xin Zhao batted it aside with the haft of his spear, and stepped back.

“My prince—” he said, but again Jarvan attacked, more furiously than before.

Two strikes came at him this time, one high, one low. Jarvan may have been using a training blade, but if those blows struck, they would break bone. Xin Zhao was forced to defend himself, deflecting the first with a side-step and an angled spear, the second with the blade of his own sword. The impact rang up his arm.

“Where were you?” snarled Jarvan, pacing around him.

Xin Zhao lowered his weapons. “Is this how you want to do this?” he said, in a quiet voice.

“Yes,” said Jarvan, his anger simmering, his sword held in a deathgrip.

Xin Zhao sighed. “A moment,” he said, and moved to put his spear on a rack. Jarvan waited for him, hand clenching and unclenching on the hilt of his sword.

As soon as Xin Zhao returned to the center of the room, Jarvan attacked. He came in a rush, grunting with effort. There was little finesse to the strikes, but fury lent him strength. Xin Zhao turned those blows aside, using Jarvan’s power against him, not wishing to meet the heavy blows directly.

At any other time he would have berated the prince for his poor form—he was thinking only of attack, and leaving himself open for ripostes and counter-strikes—but Xin Zhao would not interrupt the prince’s justified anger. Nor would he take advantage of the gaps in his defense. If the prince needed to beat him bloody, then so be it.

“Where—were—you?” Jarvan said between strikes.

Xin Zhao blocked a heavy blow aimed at his neck. The force of the strike drove him back a step.

“You have nothing to say?” demanded Jarvan.

“I should have been with your father,” he answered.

“That is no answer,” snarled Jarvan. He turned away abruptly, tossing his sword aside with a sharp, echoing clang. For a moment, Xin Zhao hoped the prince was done, but then he retrieved a different weapon from its place upon one of the racks.

Drakebane.

Now the prince leveled the lance toward him, his expression hard and unflinching.

“Get your spear,” he said.

“You are not armored,” protested Xin Zhao.

Training weapons could easily break limbs, but the slightest mistimed parry with a combat blade could be lethal.

“I don’t care,” Jarvan said.

Xin Zhao bowed his head. He bent to retrieve Jarvan’s discarded training sword, and placed it carefully upon a rack, along with his own. Reluctantly, his heart heavy, he retrieved his spear and moved back out into the open area in the center of the hall.

Without a word, Jarvan attacked.

With a deft flick, Jarvan extended Drakebane toward Xin Zhao. The legendary weapon’s haft almost doubled in length, its lethal blades slicing blindingly fast toward Xin Zhao’s neck.

The seneschal swayed aside, deflecting the deadly strike with a circular turn of his spear, careful the blades did not hook his own weapon.

Even in the brutal contests of the Fleshing, Xin Zhao had never seen a weapon like Drakebane. In truth, the secret of how to fight with it had been lost in the reign of the first kings of Demacia, and in unskilled hands it was as deadly to its wielder as to the enemy. As such, for centuries it had been little more than ceremonial, an icon of the ruling family. However, when the prince was still just a boy, he had dreamed of fighting with it, like the heroes of old he idolized, and so Xin Zhao had promised to teach him when he was ready.

Jarvan leapt forward, bringing the lance down in a scything blow. Xin Zhao turned it aside, but the prince followed up instantly with a spinning strike that missed him by scant inches, the bladed tip slicing by his throat. Jarvan was not holding back.

Before Xin Zhao could teach the young prince how to wield the weapon, however, he had to master it himself. With the king’s approval, he began training to learn its secrets. Surprisingly light in the hand and perfectly balanced, it was a sublime weapon, created by a master at the peak of his abilities.

Forged in Demacia’s infancy by the renowned weaponsmith Orlon, the lance was a revered icon of Demacia, as much a symbol of its greatness as its towering white walls or the crown of the king. Wrought to defeat the great frostdrake Maelstrom and her progeny who had plagued the early settlers of Demacia in ages past, it had long been a symbol of the royal line.

For years, Xin Zhao had practiced with the lance every day before dawn. Only when he felt he understood it well enough had he begun to teach the teenage prince how to wield it.

Jarvan grunted with effort, lunging at Xin Zhao. The seneschal thought only of defense, stepping neatly away and always aware of his surroundings. His spear was a blur before him, knocking the lance from its intended course each time it came at him.

Young Jarvan had already been learning the uses of sword and spear and fist—as well as the more cerebral arts of military history and rhetoric—it was on his sixteenth birthday that he was finally presented with Drakebane by his father. He trained hard, sustaining countless self-inflicted injuries along the way to mastery, but he eventually fought with the weapon as if it were an extension of himself.

Jarvan pressed Xin Zhao hard, striking furiously. He gave the seneschal no respite, each attack blending seamlessly into the next. A foiled lunge became an upward, sweeping slash, which in turn came around in a pair of scything arcs, first in a low, disemboweling cut, then back across the throat. All were avoided by Xin Zhao, his body swaying from side to side, and his spear flashing to turn each strike aside.

Nevertheless, while Jarvan had long been Xin Zhao’s student, the prince was younger and stronger, and his tall frame gave him a greater reach. No longer was he an awkward aspirant; he’d been hardened by battle and training, and Jarvan’s skill with Drakebane now easily outstripped his own. Jarvan harried him mercilessly, forcing him to retreat with every step.

It took all of Xin Zhao’s considerable skill to remain unscathed… but it could not last.

Xin Zhao barely avoided a vicious slash, turning his face at the last moment. The jagged blades of Drakebane sliced across his cheek, drawing blood.
For the first time since they began, Xin Zhao wondered if the prince was actually trying to kill him.

There was a certain balance in dying to the son of the man he had failed to protect.

Jarvan slapped Xin Zhao’s spear aside with the butt of Drakebane and turned swiftly, bringing the weapon around in a tight arc, the blade seeking his neck.

It was a perfectly executed move, one that Xin Zhao had taught the prince himself. Jarvan’s footwork to set up the strike was sublime, and the initial hit to his weapon was weighted just enough to knock it aside, but not so hard that it slowed the final strike.

Even so, the seneschal could have blocked it. It would have been a close thing, but he trusted his speed—even tired as he was—to have ensured the strike did not land.

And yet, he made no move to do so. His will to fight was gone.

He lifted his chin ever-so-slightly, so that the strike would be true.

The blades of Drakebane hissed in. The blow was delivered with speed, skill, and power. It would slice deep, killing him almost instantly.

The killing blow stopped just as it touched Xin Zhao’s throat, drawing a series of blood-beads, but nothing more.

Fixed

But yeah, LoL writers make skill differences painfully clear, its that kind of verse where you either have some form of magic or are just stupidly skilled to compensate for a lackthereof

And Aatrox is fairly close to the top of the chain

Skill rant incoming.

Eh, seems very subjective/personal for me. Skill feats as a whole depend almost entirely on your perception of what seems cooler than objectively being better. Like Yasuo's feat with the wind can range from people being like "Wow it's just like Sasaki tricking space itself with sheer precision and making 2 slashes at the same time! Replicating magic wich is higher D with skill alone makes his skill divine!" to "hah, he creates a tornado? Zoro did it way better, what a fodder".

Only way to objectively compare skill feats between characters is if both have the same feat but one does in grander scale "like a character shot a crow from 200 meters away, the other did it from 2 kilometers" or if both are around the same level of power and decide to have a direct fight using the same martial arts for testing their profficiency in it specifically. Even if there were an objective skill ranking for each character the entire thing gets very weird if we start including a cast of diverse characters with very different levels of power, physiologies, weakness and strengths, fighting styles and esoteric abilities in a objective ladder, like is it a minor difference, is it a skill stomp worthy advantage? how would their powers interact with each other on top of their martial arts and fighting styles, etc. If there was a character who was like the Yujiro/Cell of the verse who is just the incarnation of all technique in the verse composite and can do everything anyone in the verse can on top of their own abilities then we'd have a definite answer for no.1, but still leaves the rest somewhat vague.
