Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

He's overhyped ngl.
This yeah, the show relies on you liking Alastor for a lot of his scenes, so him flip flopping from for the hotel to against it about every other scene he's in just kind of kills him for me. Pilot Alastor was good because he DIDN'T have that kind of personality crisis

I kinda thought he just wasn't meant to be that relevant until the end.

TBF Alastor's character is iffy, like from Pilot to show he's probably the weakest character with actual plot relevance.
He has a huge role in getting the army and AWs against Exorcists, wdym. If he had been a little less cocky he could’ve beaten down Adam by himself.

When is he against the hotel though? He is in favor of it throughout the entirety of the show, I don’t what are you talking about. Although I admit that Pilot Alastor was kinda better ngl.

As in his character is worse.

He says as much, then goes back on it like two of his scenes later.

He's inconsistent, and probably even mid as far as S1 goes.

Could ya be more specific for once? If you are talking about not helping Vaggie, then yeah no shit he hates technology and he cares about the hotel as in "the thing that keeps him entertaining" and that kinda stuff.

It's more of a mystery behind him, not an inconsistency. And mid? Nah. He is a perfect displayal of a sociopath. His scenes have just the right amount of hints at “possible genuineness” and hints at a hidden motivation throughout the entire season.

But, hey, Season 2 is on its way to ruin him!
