round 1: golden age guts vs normal slade

round 2: berserker armor guts vs herald of trigon slade

both rounds speed equalized. takes place in a wasteland. Who wins and why.

Guts-0
the black swordma

Slade
"I will never stop Robin. And neither will you."

Round 1: Inconclusive imo. Slade doesn't really have anything in his standard arsenal to put Guts down for the count. And Guts would have a hard time facing someone who is so intelligent tactically, not to mention almost on par with him physically.

Round 2: Now this round all depends on what kind of immortality Slade has. Does he have immortality via protection from a diety(Trigon), or is it Immortality via Regenerationn or undead? If it is the first one I give it to Slade. But if it's the latter two I give it to Guts seeing as how he can attack the soul of an opponent, and has superior AP and SS. Not to mention Slade is very cocky in this form because of his immortality.

Immortality via undead, cause in the trigon arc, slade found a gate that held all for the souls in trigon's realm. When he opened it, he was back to being a mortal. Not to mention that his face was shown to be a skeleton when he was trigon's herald.

Round 1:Guts due to superior DC and durability

Round 2:Slade is immortal because he is undead, which won't help much and Berserk Armor still gives him higher DC and durability than Slade with that amp IIRC.

Round 1: Guts via experience and brutality.

Round 2: Slade wins. Guts'll have a hard time getting past that flight and intagibility.

Guts can cut intagible beings and flight isn't problem.

Gut's Dragonslayer attacks the souls of his enemies.

fair enough, but how will flight not be a problem?
Flight would be an issue if Slade used it to its fullest potential, but we know that he has no problem going into melee range. As the Herald of Trigon, he is very cocky due to his new-found immortality. Guts would only need one strike to put down Slade, and I feel that Slade would make the ultimate mistake of overestimating his immortality.

It would be close, but Guts would prevail imo.
