Yes he would. Partial prior knowledge meaning they will know about the other character's special moves but not all of their abilities. Just the special moves.

Special moves is a pretty vague term. One may consider the flashfield to be special as it is unique to GV. Others may consider the flashfield to not be a special move as it's rather normal to GV and the most common way to attack. Sans' usage of bones could be considered special and not special for similar reasons.

Is there an official definition somewhere?
