Gunvolt General Discussion Thread

Since we're talking about a whole new series called "Gunvolt Chronicles", I was hoping for an Asimov or QUILL game, since the series probably isn't intended for just Cope
An Asimov origin game sounds like a cool concept.

Mostly gameplay to me. The story is good when you look at it as a whole and manage to piece it together, but so much of it happens off screen to the point where the main game's story isn't all that impressive compared. I wish Gunvolt Chronicles could expand more on these plotlines that are offscreen, like a Viper game, QUILL/Asimov game, and Nova game. The story makes these Septimal powers seem like they have more impact on the world than just physical power, but have political affects too. But on a extra note, GV is just so damn cool in his design and abilities, and his mission based things. The gameplay really makes it feel like you are not just travelling through a stage to beat a boss, but to ACTUALLY achieve a mission to accomplish, while I wish they gave you actual indication that you completed the mission as supposed to just running through it, the game really gives the atmosphere that you really are on a mission to achieve a goal that is essential to victory in the end, rather than just going there to beat up a boss, with Briefings, Communication Lines, Backup Support, even the missions themselves reflect what the goal is, such as investigation of an area or inflitration to destroy a data center. It's like being a super spy agent, but with electrical powers

We've got Mafuyu sensei and Nagito Komaeda as the newest villains in Gunvolt.

We got the last two bosses today. So it seems like we get a typical macho man that turns into super sayian blue and a girl who has a dual personality.

Another one?

Also apparently Septimas are Soul based, too.

Their mind based because their psychic powers

Their biological because Copen was able to copy Asimov's from a drop of his blood

Their spiritual because some android somehow getting a soul lets them have a septima

Well, Elise's Multiple Personalities where never directly seen unless they left her body, so this is unique in the way that it's just one person

Gunvolt: Creating potentially great characters only to kill them off the same scene they get introduced.

Honestly, if they ever do make a full Gunvolt anime, they probably shouldn't kill off the bosses (Or at least without giving them some excuse to come back).

Rebellio does not need to die. He needs to live to see his family goddamnit Copen ;___;

Though, it does work in the story's favor in this case. It shows us that, despite Adepts slaughtering humans, there are still Adepts like (And just as importatly, other than) Gunvolt and Joule who are genuinely good people. Copen is still an absolute monster, he's just being a monster to the benefit of others this time.

Hopefully there is no hell ƒÿ¿
I mean, I think one of them even says of how coming to hell after being ressurected wasn´t as bad as he thought.

Oh yeah I vaguely remember that as well. So they go to hell huh? **** this is pretty messed up. I do hope Rebellio goes to heaven if there is one.

Also we now know the last two names.

The pink girl is Isora

The beefy dude is Bakuto.

INB4 we get a god tier if more stuff gets bringed up about it

I don´t want it to end like Castlevania with a big 2-C multiverse scaling to no one but an extremely dubious entity.

It's honestly a big unknown, we can't say anything about there being an afterlife for sure

Details of the two new bosses' Septima

"Winged Warrior Type Idol Isora (Itou Miku)

"Copy (Companion)" Septima Holder. Uses human-shaped energy bits named "EXSIA" and also creates "Decoys" identical to herself, and she can control both of them.

Lion King Swift Rotation (Tanaka Atsuyuki)

"Spiral" Septima Holder. Uses the torrent of a huge spiral energy to directly blow foes away as well as dodging attacks. It's a simple Ability yet it can be named a powerful Septima because it has attack, defense and speed."

Credit goes to Sidier who translates this stuff. He's in the Gunvolt Wiki Discord and knows a LOT of stuff about the verse. He's the one where I got the information about Hydro Zapper going through Prevasion and Greed Snatcher getting nerfed due to GV's new outfit

"Lion King" Too bad no Simba is compatible without it being a big AP stomp for either side
