It's a plot oversight, since we see later Bill can just turn you into a mind controlled zombie without consciousness by snapping his fingers. Which means that he should be able to do it to Stanford. It's also unrelated to his Mindscape shiz, so that presumably wouldn't block it. It also affected McGucket, whose mind is a "collapsing Neutron Star" but Bill wasn't affected when he used his powers, showing very clearly it isn't directly projecting himself in the way that can be blocked. He just has this power now.

i think it worked on mcgucket since that mcgucket was in a better state of mind then when bill went to him (i think?), and yeah quite the plot oversight considering how smart bill is, im still curious about the equation though, hope we get some info of it at some point in existence

I still think that Metal Plate simply grants resistance to Mind Manipulation, at least against Bill. Bill already had his mind to possess via the deal and he can control anything that has neurons, but he couldn’t do that after the plate.

I think it’s either technobabble or something similar to Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium Equation or maybe a formula to create something that can destroy the barrier, idk

The closest galaxy is 25,000 light years away from Earth, however we aren't even sure it's actually a galaxy and it is an irregular dwarf galaxy. The galaxy that Bill Cipher is clearly not that, it's definitely a spiral galaxy. The closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy, which is also the brightest galaxy that isn't a Milky Way satellite in the sky and the most famous one as well and it actually looks a lot like the one shown in Gravity Falls. It is 100 times more distant (2,500,000 ly), thus increasing the speed of Bill Cipher travelling to another galaxy to 1.32372337e13c.

As I said Galactic Ford is also in the Andromeda Galaxy, which has a diameter of 152,000 light years instead of 100,000 ly, which also increases his size and speed by 1.52 times. Not much of an increase, but still.

Okay, so the Bill Cipher travelling to another galaxy feat is listed at 1.32372337e11c (on the Gravity Falls page), and I think it should be changed to 1.32372337e13c, for the reasons mentioned here. This barely changes anything, since his speed is already immeasurable anyway, but still.
